I have tried just about every popular controller at this point (dual sense edge, scuf envision, Xbox elite series 2, turtle beach stealth ultra, razer wolverine V3 pro, Flydigi Vader 4 Pro, and many more) and this one is probably the best I have used. The phantom does 3 things incredibly well: the hair triggers, the Hall effect sticks that can be calibrated, and the placement of the back buttons. The sticks are incredibly accurate to the point it even picks up the minute movements that none of my other controllers do (admittedly, this can be a bad thing at times in FPS games that don’t have aim assist lol, but turning the sensitivity down slightly makes it just like the others if you can’t get used to it). The hair triggers are the best I’ve used. They are micro click and they are absolutely instant. I can say it definitely made a difference in FPS games, especially when using a semi automatic option. The back buttons are the main reason I gave this controller a try because after being a long time elite series 2 user, I fell in love with the feel of the dual sense edge, but really missed having 4 back buttons with 1 finger per trigger. These are placed in a very ergonomic way such that it feels just as comfortable as my elite series 2, though I wish they were slightly harder to press as they are a little on the sensitive side. I have narrowed my extensive controller search to the Vader 4 pro and this. Each has its pros and cons, but I think the phantom beats the Vader 4 pro in just about every way. The elephant in the room is the price. Do I think the phantom is 3x better than the Vader 4 pro? Definitely not. I think this controller should be priced at no more than $199.00 and it would be a fair value for money. It’s just really hard to justify the cost of 3 Vader 4 Pro controllers for just 1 of these… TL;DR: it’s an amazing controller with every feature you could want, but the price is a little steep compared to controllers like the Vader 4 Pro which includes a very similar feature set for 1/3 of the price.

If your at this point of reading the reviews, trying to decide if you want to spend your hard earned money (or your parents money). DO IT! It's totally worth the money! The trigger system works great for FPS games, then with a quick swipe of a swich..BAM!!! Haptic feedback, triggers!! Hall Effect joysticks.... Yes please! Rubber back grip, 4 comfortable remappable back button with 6 different settings sprinkled on top! You bet!! Do us all a favor.. Do your self a favor and just make this purchase. It will be the last controller you'll have to buy for you Playstation 5. You'll thank me later.

So I never do this, but when I first ordered the hexgame phantom I received the clear one, but it came to me like it had been a used one. Parts were broken, so I sent it back and git a replacement for it. Been using it for a about 3 weeks now, and I noticed that this one has broken parts/pieces missing. As well as the remappable buttons being hit or miss when oreseed, especially the lower set. Unfortunately I literally just fell out of return date (3-11-25) today being 3-12-25. The concept for the controller is there but it seems to be made poorly for the price. I don't think I would ever buy another controller from this company. It's just been a bad experience with the product for me. I really wanted to like the controller because of its design, but seems to be made of cheap material or something. Again this is my experience and opinion, but to each their own.

I think this is probably the best controller for the PS5. I have used several. I have had issues with stock controller batteries and joysticks. The battery issue was something with a charger I had, but the stick drift is a inherent quality issue with Sony controllers, especially if you use R3 and L3 a decent amount. After doing a lot of research and wanting a new controller with hall effect joy sticks and some back buttons I chose this one. The buttons on the back are nice, I'd prefer paddles but after a couple rounds the back buttons did feel fairly intuitive and easy to use. Then the mouse click buttons for the triggers that can be toggled on and off are amazing. The 4 back buttons with several mappings, I think 6 presets you can make, are awesome. I hope this last for longer then my prior controllers, but with the hall effect joysticks I highly doubt I'll see another stick drift issues as long as I play PS5. My only complaint is that the price is very high, you technically could upgrade a stock controller for less, but I was tired of tearing apart stock controllers to replace sticks and such. The only other issue I had was the programming of it on the PC. It is not super difficult but the video is not super intuitive and the dongle you use to calibrate the controller was wonky. My one button on the calibration device did not register clicks super easy. I did figure out how to get the one button to register. Overall, the controller is amazing so far, but the price and cheap calibration dongle knock it down slightly. I'd probably give it a 4.5/5 if I could.

The design & quality of the pad is great - no issue there HOWEVER the 'lag' on this pad for PC use is disgraceful! Compared to a 30-40$ 8bitdo pro 2 pad this pad feels like you are running in treacle. the 8bit is 'snappy', this thing is 'flappy' at best! I used onboard motherboard APEX z790 Bluetooth, Asus Bluetooth dongle & a Ugreen Bluetooth dongle with antennae and on all 3 variants this pad is very laggy. The Sony PS5 Edge is far superior to this pad now that I have compared both so buy that in instead as its cheaper than this. What a shame but it cost over $320 including shipping & taxes to get to UK - very disappointed. If anyone wants their product to to be properly tested by a very experienced user just let me know to avoid a review like this.I just keep it #100!
