Features

  • 67 layers of Damascus steel for a harder blade that stays sharper longer with an ergonomic Pakkawood handle for precision and control. Made utilizing the 3-step Honbazuke method an advanced heat treatment to achieve a combination of hardness and flexibility that creates an exceptional 12-degree cutting edge.
  • Our Damascus steel cleaver comes out of the box razor-sharp and ready for duty featuring a double-beveled edge ideal for cutting turnips, squash, proteins, tendons and even bones.
  • Our knives are expertly crafted tools that maintain their sharpness for extended periods with proper care. Do not clean in the dishwasher. Hand wash only. Frequent honing is recommended.
  • This 7-inch cleaver knife features a total length of 12.5 inches, with a 7.5-inch Japanese Damascus stainless steel blade. Its 4.5-inch Pakkawood handle offers a comfortable, ergonomic grip.
  • HexClad cutlery carries a lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects. It does not cover damage from improper use or storage, accident, loss, or theft. • Very Impressed
Style: 8-Inch Chef's Knife
I have a set of HexClad pans, which I love. Although I usually prefer my cast iron, I would recommend the HexClad pans all day. When a Black Friday sale rolled around I figured I would give the chef's knife a try since I've been impressed with their stuff so far. I prefer a chef knife with a little weight to it and this fit the bill perfectly. I've been using a Messermeister chef knife and while it's a great knife, the craftsmanship and the overall feel of the Hexclad knife is superior in my opinion. The dark green wooden handle is stunning and sits well in my hand. It looks incredible on my magnetic knife strip. I'm really surprised how much I love this knife. Next time a sale comes around I'm going to look into the rest of the knives to complete the set. If I remember, I'll follow up on how well the edge holds. But for now, this thing is SHARP. It literally shaves the hair off my arms (which is not its full time use lol) so be careful! ... show more

  • Sharp. Good so far.
Style: 7-Inch Santoku Knife
So far I like it. It's well balanced. It's sharp fresh out of the box. It wouldn't be my number one pick just because of the price entry point, but I wanted to try a Hexclad knife. Biggest complaint for the Santoku style is the blade is very sharp at the closest distance to the handle. It got the side of my index finger the first time I used it cutting chicken breast. So either use the pinch method or keep toward the rear of the handle when slicing. ... show more
