  • Incredible temp and humidity control
This product is fantastic. I hatch show breeds of chickens, so the eggs I buy are expensive, and the eggs I hatch from myself are worth a lot. Ive hatched several hatches with almost 100% hatch rate. The temp is steady and same with the humidity. I used an extra hydrometer to test everything and I have found that 100.4 is more like 99.5 and I set the humidity to 54 and I get about 50-52. I bought a 2nd one of these and the exact same settings were perfect. This thing is accurate and affordable. It has circulated air, egg turner, and controlled humidity. Fits quite a few eggs. I'm impressed. Here are some of the chicks I've hatched. ... show more

  • DON'T THROW the FOAM AWAY!!! IT CAN run on 12 volts!
Several things make or break a good incubator. 1) How fast can it get to temp from cold start? This model from 70°, it took under 5 minutes! 2) Is the humidity adjustable? Yes, you can program it for correct % of humidity. It has a pump that will add water as needed. Buy a Hydrometer so you know the humidity where you are placing it! 3) Is the candling light any good? Yes, I took some store bought chicken eggs and practiced. Three might of been fertile, however because of being refrigerated stopped developing. The manual has color pictures of different stages of eggs so you know! 4) Does it hold it's temperature? Yes very well especially if you KEEP the foam on! I just used the bottom for the review. If it's below 68°, you should use top & bottom pieces of foam! What comes with it? Instructions, the water pump, cords, water line, and a small feed & water dispenser. Also a 12 volt? battery hook up that wasn't in the instructions or why, what's it go to and what voltage is it for. UPDATE- it can run on 12 volts so if you are off- grid, this can work. It uses 40 watts, so that's 720 watts for 24 hour period. Nice to know in event of a power outage! The instruction manual was fairly good detaiing different features, however some English was confusing. No customer service number or email provided. Any Cons to this incubator? 1) You can't adjust for different size eggs. A chicken egg is as large as you can put into the 15 egg tray. I put a large chicken egg and it barely fit. 2) In the center the fan comes down to 1" from tray bottom. Also the grate covering the fan has gaps of 3/4" wide by 1/4" high. Not good for baby quail. Now I can put a column of hardware cloth/screen to keep the babies out of harm's way and hope it stays in place. That is the reason only 4 stars. This incubator does a lot more than ones costing less, just wish the fan didn't come down soo low! ... show more

  • So far is working great
My eggs are now about 15 days along and are doing well in this incubator. It is relatively easy to set the humidity level and other settings. Its automatic egg turning feature has been working perfect. Extra large chicken eggs should not be placed in it, but it handles medium and large eggs very well. It is a little on the noiser side when turning the eggs but I like that as it lets me know things are working correctly. I would definently recommend this incubator. ... show more

  • Great incubator!!
Can't say enough about these incubators. They're wonderful, with high hatch rates. Haven't had a problem out of the 2 I have like it yet. I absolutely love the automatic pump for the humidity. I never have to worry about not having enough or too little water. They are easy to use and set up, clean, and work really well. They're quiet and I love the color. I recommend this incubator!! ... show more

  • It has a lot of cool features
Its a little early in the season for hatching chicks, but I'm doing my due diligence to make sure this works before I start. I already have an incubator that I have been using, so some of my observations are based on comparisons to the one I have. Pros: The product is fully functional. The heating element quickly brought the unit up to temperature and holds it really steady - more so than my current model. The pump also works really well. It may take a few more hours before the product reaches full humidity. I'm going to let it run through the night to see how it goes. Both temperature and humidity are settable on this model, and both have high and low alarms to let you know if something is not right. The unit takes about 90 minutes to do one full rotation. I put some of my faux wooden eggs on it early and it had no trouble moving them. It has also used about a cup of water since I first turned it on. This unit can also be powered by a 12 volt battery (with the supplied cable). I suppose if the power goes out, you can hook this up to a car battery. Cons: The unit was a little dirty when I received it. There were some light scuff marks, plastic shavings, and some fine thread stuck on the unit. The pump has a little jerk when it pumps (which is only for a second). You will need to secure the hose going into your water vessel as I found that it will jerk the hose out. Also, some obvious misspellings, including the word voltage directly on the unit. You can see that in the listing. Also the pump motor wires are taped on the inside of the cover. Not a huge deal, but kind of an eyesore. Also, it was more expensive than my current model, maybe a little too much. ... show more

  • Hethay Egg Incubator, Intelligent Incubator for Chicken Eggs review
This is a cool incubator. It's easy to set up and go through the instructions. I haven't gotten my eggs for hatching yet, so I can't speak to actual use, but it appears well-made and I look forward to hatching some chicks with it. I have a second totally different incubator, and will be testing both at the same time. I will update my review at that time. ... show more
