These mittens are magic, cozy and warm and a delight for wearing around town. The exterior leather is buttery soft, which is one of the main reasons I couldn't pass them up. The interiors are cozy and warm with a velvety soft liner. The "shearling" look at the top is only on the cuff. I love the saddle color, it added a great pop in the mountains with most any color jacket. I'm a big fan of Hestra gloves, and exclusively buy them to keep me warm on the slopes. This is the first pair of mittens I have purchased from them. I bought a size 8 as usual and they are roomy, but not too big. I could have maybe sized down by one but think perhaps a tighter fit wouldn't be quite as warm. Since they're mittens and I don't have the same dexterity as a glove I decided to stick with the 8. Because they are so supple be careful using or packing around any oils or creams as it will stain and turn the leather a bit darker, this is not unusual with leather products, but just something to be mindful of. I do not recommend these gloves for outdooor activities like skiing and such - these are best as a leisure glove for errands and events around town.

I have been searching for mittens that keep my hands warm. The search is over! These mittens are WARM! The test was today in sub-zero wind chill temp. My hands were toasty warm. These mittens are well-worth the cost! They fit great, and are very stylish. I highly recommend them! They were delivered two days after ordering. Very pleased.

I got these mittens from another source for my sister who has lived in the mountains of Montana for years.
