The gloves are well made, as usual with Carhartt clothing. Well insulated but not especially thick, so far I've worn them in single-digit temps in the wind and my hands stayed warm. Fit is excellent, true to size for my size L hands, fingers aren't too long or narrow, the gloves slide on and off easily. The elastic at the wrists is just right, enough to keep wind and water out but not so tight as to be noticeable. Length is just right, they extend about 2 inches over the wrist, not too long or short. Definitely very water resistant, snow doesn't penetrate or soak the material at all. Using them with a cell phone is a hit or miss proposition; about half the time the screen doesn't detect finger movement, but despite various reviews and how Carhartt described the gloves, I didn't expect that to work and I couldn't care less that it doesn't. All things considered I can't imagine a better glove in terms of bang for the buck. ... show more

These gloves are perfect for my husband. They fit great, keep his hands warm, but he is able to still use his hands easily. He works outside for most of his day, but still needs to be able to use his hands to work. These gloves are perfect for that as he is still able to grip tools while working. Works pretty well with my phone's touchscreen. They are easy to put on, and I wear a size medium in regular gloves, and mediums fit perfectly. They seem pretty warm, nice color, little bulky, but that's to be expected.

Nothing fancy about these. Just a good pair. Not sure if they worth the price just yet, which is why I didn’t give these a 5 star. There is nothing that shows me these are not good quality, but that doesn’t always mean they will hold up over time. I’m usually between large and xl. I ordered both. The xl were too big. I sent back the xl and kept large. Comfortable. They’re warm, but probably not for below 30-40 degrees.

These gloves are great! My husband is 7 ft tall so he has very large hands I've never been able to find gloves that actually fit him comfortable. He said they keep his hands warm and he is able to use his phone with ease!

    • touchscreen capabilities not as good as other options and not good in wet weather

Sigh, I was genuinely really excited about these and they were my first Carhartt gloves. I was happy to spend the extra money for them for quality compared to the cheap Chinese knockoff companies. Unfortunately, the touchscreen aspect of them is very clunky and not easy to use on my iPhone. I say this as someone who has a lot of experience testing out different version of touchscreen friendly gloves, and they tend to work pretty well for me. The very thickly knitted warm ones work infinitely better then these, and these work only about as well as the much cheaper Chinese knockoff version of the same exact product (not knitted, not waterproof). Also because they are not waterproof, I just can't make an argument in support of these gloves. I am better off with the high quality thick knitted touch screen friendly version, which are equally as warm but much better touchscreen and maneuverability (grabbing keys or dog poop bag for example). And then for truly wet or extreme cold, I will go with a different option and compromise the touchscreen part. Hope this is helpful for others who get cold hands easy! Excited to test out the Carhartt options for more extreme cold without the touchscreen part. ... show more
