They do work on smartphone screens but the quality is average. After first use, any contact with Velcro from your ski gloves and they become a tattered mess. They already look old and tattered despite being brand new. Definitely not worth the price tag.

First, I love Hestra. I’ve had a pair of Henrik Windstedt Pro Mitts for what feels like 10 years; I re-waterproof them every year and they are great. Clearly, Hestra knows how to make a good glove, which makes it all the more mind boggling that they went so very wrong with these liners. Within one ski run, I knew that these were a bad purchase. Fabric was pilling for no apparent reason besides the minor friction between them and my mitts. About midday, the end of a finger got caught in my jacket zipper. I gently raised the zipper back up, but the damage was already done, a tear on the tip of the middle finger. For the rest of the day, my finger easily worked its way through the cheap fabric around the tear. A few times, a finger would get a little too close to the buttons on my jacket as I snapped them. Again, threads easily pulled up. Snapping the tip of a finger in a button was a regular occurrence for years with my old Burton liners, and nothing like this ever happened. In fact, my Burton liners with ~5 years of use look better than these Hestras do after one day. You heard that right. The attached picture is of the Hestras after ONE day of riding. Most of us own winter gloves or coats with velcro on the wrist area. It is amazing that these glove liners fray on minimal contact. This is what my gloves looked like on day one of use - yes day one. For the price, I thought they were a keeper and tossed all the wrappers. By the end of the day, I was doing a trash nose dive and ready to return them. I replaced my purchase with a "Heatwave" liners. They are built so much better and won't snag on contact. ... show more

First day noticed Fabric easily catches on any velcro and pulls threads out. These will likely not last long. Very poor for price point.
