Designed for indoor and outdoor use, Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant can repair everything from electrical connections to seams on boots to stop leaks in wet weather as well as saltwater or freshwater aquariums. This all-season sealant creates durable, flexible bonds that resist extreme temperatures and impact and won’t crack, peel, or shrink. Excellent for use on imperfect surfaces and filling gaps and bonds ABS, glass, ceramic, porcelain, wood, aluminum, stainless steel, cultured marble, fiberglass, granite, vinyl tile, some rubbers and plastics. Loctite Clear Silicone Waterproof Sealant is Aquarium Safe and can be used for sealing or repairing sinks, tubs, aquariums, plumbing fixtures, door frames, windows, vents, toys, appliances, gaskets, weather-stripping, outside of fireplace doors, and shoes and boots as well. Not recommended for use on the following plastics: polyethylene, polypropylene, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), polycarbonate or PVC. RTV adhesive has a myriad of uses. It's moisture resistance makes it well suited for shoe insole repair and attachment. Temporarily reattach a shoe sole. Attaches almost anything to smooth glass or metal surfaces. Reattach auto carpeting. Can be cast to replace fairly large odd shaped rubber seals like in a pool filter. Can be used to attach patches to work pants & shirts (works best with patches on the backside) and is fully machine washable. Repair three corner tears. Repair a torn car cover. Reattach a book cover. Patch a beach ball or raft with a piece of heavy zip lock bag (almost invisible) Put a dab on screw threads to keep nuts from loosening (always removeable) Repair decorative ceramic, stone or brick. Reattach emblems to metal backings. Reattach magnets to souvenirs. I rated weatherproof as mediocre as RTV does not hold up long term when exposed to ultraviolet sunlight but works well outdoors when shielded from direct sun. ... show more

I have been using Loctite for many years on a variety of tasks and it works well. I have never had any leakage issues and it has a clear appearence. I also like the clear color. It's easy to use and it has a pretty smooth texture after drying and it is easy to clean up.

This Loctite sealant is basically the duct tape of the bathroom world. It fixes leaks, seals gaps, and can probably even hold your shower curtain up in a pinch (though I wouldn't recommend it). Here's the deal: It's clear, so your DIY disasters stay hidden. No more ugly white lines screaming "I fixed this myself!" from your handiwork. It sticks to everything (almost). From sinks to bathtubs to that mysterious crack in your ceiling, this stuff is like glue on steroids. Just be sure to check the label first, because it doesn't like some fancy plastics. It's easy to use, even for those of us who are, shall we say, "decoratively challenged." No need to be a Bob Vila to apply this stuff. Just squeeze, smooth, and walk away (carefully, because the bathroom floor might still be slippery). Overall, this Loctite sealant is a handy little tube to have around for those inevitable household plumbing mishaps.
