I'm 5' 9", 165 lb, athletic build older guy. The medium size suit fits me well, and keeps cold water intrusion to a minimum. The old-school front zipper is convenient for those times when you need to let a bit of water in to cool down during dive/snorkel activities.

I'm planning a winter trip to Hawaii and wanted a perfect wetsuit. After researching for about a week, I ordered three different products. In my opinion, all of them were excellent. However, this suit was by far the most comfortable and looked the most professional for snorkeling. The other suit looked like it was only for water skiing and like it was more for 17-25 year old people. Also, the neck on this suit is very comfortable. I'm 6 foot and weight 210 pounds and ordered the XL. It feels like it was custom made for me. To put it on, I've found it easier to start the zipper a few inches and then put in both legs and then the top. Taking it off is even easier by basically unzipping. I like Henderson products. This long sleeve shorty has a front zipper that makes getting in and out of them easy. Long sleeve shorty's are a bit hard to find, so was happy to find these. Good quality construction throughout, but the fit was very tight. I'm a slim build, w a size 32 waist. I ordered a small, relying on the sizing chart; but had to return in for a medium, as the small felt too constrictive. The medium may be a tad loose, but since I'm diving mostly in warm waters w/ this product, it's good. ... show more

Used this on a dive in St Maarten for the first time. Never had a shorty before, and wanted one with long sleeves. I like the full link zipper it was easy to get in and out of and the suit works perfect.

I love these Hendersons suit especially the 3-mile when the water gets quite warm. I'm in the water using a diving compressor for 3 to 4 hours at a time. Very comfortable would recommend.

    • Warmer than a full shortie

Bought this to replace a 3mm shortie and I liked the front zip option. Amazingly quick to put on and remove with the front entry. The suit is warmer than previous 3mm's I have owned and I believe it is because of the long sleeves. I wasn't initially sure about having those, but they are the greatest. One thing to note (and this is not a complaint), I am very consistently a medium and yet I needed to return this for a size smaller to have it fit properly. A wetsuit needs to be snug and almost (almost, but not quite) to the point of being uncomfortable to function as it was designed.     • Doesn't Work For Me.

This is a good wetsuit except it has no velcro closure around the neck so the neck hole is too big for my neck and cold water pours in when I am swimming and especially when I make a turn at the end of the pool. It also comes in at the legs. I purchased a small which is very tight. I am 5' 11" about 115 pounds, 31" waist. The company said I need a smaller suit so the neck will fit, but I couldn't possibly get into a smaller size. Alternately, they said I should get a hoodie. That doesn't appeal at all. I think the suit needs some kind of closure at the neck which most wet suits seem to have. In this product, the suit zips up the front and that's the only closure at the neck and it doesn't keep the water out. ... show more
