I have wanted to buy some steak knives since I came in 3rd for the Glengarry leads and lost my job. I do like the Henkels brand, which tends to be very good. These knives are basic and part of the "International" brand. The knives came in a set of four, well packaged. Impressions: The knives are of a good weight. The bolster is actually pretty big, but the knives are of a good weight. The blades are fine, with a serrated side. The International brand is not made in Germany, but is made in China. Use: The bolster took some getting used to because it is larger than my other chef knives. However, I like the weight and these are fine for cutting. Overall: A good basic set of knives. Not Henkels main brand, but fine enough to use on the occasions I eat meat. ... show more

These are very nice knives. Sharp and a nice weight to them. Hopefully they don’t rust. I’ll be hand washing them to prolong their life.

These look great, the handles are nice, but they don’t cut. My husband and I tried to cut very tender pork chops with them. The knives shredded the meat no matter how much pressure we applied. They went back the next day. Bummer. I have a ten-year-old set of cheap Henkels, and they still cut much better than these did new. ... show more
