This is a beautiful looking and high quality set of 6 knives with a magnetic stand from Henckels. I am thrilled with the magnetic stand and how easily the knives adhere and stay in place until ready to use. This knife set looks great on my counter and I really love having easy access. I like the knife assortment in this set as you get a 3.5” paring knife (my go to daily knife) plus a 5” serrated utility knife (my go to knife number 2). The other three knives are an 8” chef knife, 8” serrated bread knife and a 7” hollow edge Santoku knife which makes vegetable prep super fast and easy! The Pakka wood handles and magnetic stand all match and it gives a really high end look, plus it is space saving and organized. I like that the handle edges are designed to meet up with the top of the magnetic knife block. Each knife has an intended use and arrive sharp and weighted properly plus have an ergonomic grip. I’ve been testing this set out a few weeks and I am super pleased overall with the sharpness and performance of these knives. This set comes in a branded box suitable for gift giving and also includes a life-time warranty against defects in the material and workmanship. Knowing the knives are constructed from forged German stainless steel I would trust the blades to stay sharp and be rust free for the life of the knives with proper care (e.g. do not leave soaking in water). Also the composite Pakka wood handles offer durability and water resistance, but still require care, so I prefer to hand-wash the knives to keep them in the best condition. Overall this is a nice looking and high quality set of kitchen knives from a brand I trust and I would recommend. ... show more

Wow, just really wow. These knives are impressive and the magnetic easel as a knife block is a really cool, modern look. The set contains a knife for just about any task you will be performing in the kitchen and this actually contains a bread knife unlike most knife sets. The blades are really thick and very, very sharp right out of the box. The Pakka wooden handles are extremely nice and feel amazing in the hand that gives great control while using. The magnetic easel is a really nice feature and looks really nice on a kitchen counter that gives a very modern look versus the standard knife block. These knives are by no means cheap but like most kitchen tools, you get what you pay for with kitchen knives and they are one of the most frequently used tools so paying more now will save time, hassle and money in the long term. Considering these are very important tools that will last a very long time with the proper care, they are a good value for the price and a purchase you will be glad you made. ... show more

I've been enjoying using these knives for the past few days! They feel so lux and make me want to be a better cook! 😊 I was immediately impressed with the gorgeous, smooth wood handles and how they are integrated into the blades, the inclined magnetic storage board that is quite heavy, the variety of knives in the set for different jobs, the high-quality stainless steel blades, and, of course, the sharpness. Love everything about the knives! However, I have mixed reviews about the functionality of the magnetic board. It is truly beautiful, with a super-smooth finish, nice wood grain, and an extremely strong magnet—so there's no fear at all about the knives falling off. However, because the magnet is so strong—which is a very good thing—it makes grabbing the larger knives with just one hand a bit awkward. It takes a little force to remove the larger knives from the board, so the board tips or wobbles slightly when you do, which makes me a bit nervous with a board full of sharp knives. I feel like the design “idea” is there, but the practical follow-through on how it actually functions comes up a bit short. To make sure it doesn’t topple over or wobble, you have to use two hands to remove the larger knives—one to hold the board in place, and the other to grab the knife handle. To me, it seems silly that you need to use two hands. So, I've come up with a simple solution to this minor issue ... The stainless steel, inclined base is just screwed onto the back of the board. (Thankfully, there was no glue to deal with.) I removed that piece and mounted the wood/magnet part flat against the side of the cupboard next to the stove top. That's it! I used four strong Command strips instead of making holes in the cupboard. It's secure and working great. I can now lift the knives off the board with one hand. Another reason I like this mounted approach is that eliminating the free-standing base unit saves on valuable counter space, of which I have little to spare. Other than that relatively minor issue, I still highly recommend this beautiful knife set! ... show more
