I have a choco lab and a mixed breed. They usually get very anxious when I leave them at home. Also, during the holidays, they get very stressed with the fireworks. I wanted to try out giving them these a few weeks before Christmas and new year, to see how they work. After reading some reviews, I was hesitant because they say they did the opposite to their dogs. Well, that is exactly what happened THE FIRST day I gave them to my dogs. They were zuming around the house (it was a cute but confusing). Then I remembered my own experience with hemp and realized I needed to do it a few times before it worked out. So I did that, I tried for a few more days and the rd day they were super relaxed after taking them. This taught me a few things: 1. You need to start giving your dogs these pills a few days before you need them to work. So if you are having a long trip on Saturday, start the previous Monday. 2. Expect to have zumies the first couple of days. 3. ALWAYS give them to your dogs with a medium to full stomach. NEVER on an empty stomach. My terrier (rescue) has been barking and biting for 7.5 years (I'm the third owner). He's insecure aggressive and toy possessive. I have tried so many things in 2.5 yrs including training, exercise, thundershirts, sliding loop leads, muzzles, antibark collars, and this is the first thing with immediate results. He will immediately stop bad behavior to get one of these heart shaped treats. He's a new relaxed dog within 90 seconds. Perfect, no, but closer than anything else. So I have tried multiple different kinds of “treats” to calm my dogs when I know they are going to be in a stressful situation (large family gatherings, hotel stay) these are truly the only treats that have had any effect on my dogs to help them relax. Only wish the smaller size had been available as it will probably take longer than the shelf life to use up the 120 chews. My dogs are sometimes anxious on long car rides or in hotel rooms. These treats are now the only way we can travel. I cannot recommend these enough for our anxious babies. We have a miniature schnauzer who gets upset by our Amazon deliveries & car rides as she can’t sit on this drivers lap. Based on her size, she can take one tablet. I got these for the move to our new home, which was about 2 1/2 hours away from our temporary residence. We ended up being in the temp for several months while waiting for our home to be completed, and that in and of itself was a very trying time for all of my furbabies!! None were very thrilled with the temp move, especially with it lasting as long as it did. But, for those of my babies that actually would eat these, they worked very well. I was pleased with that, as were they. The joy of moving long distances with several pets can be overwhelming not only for you, but the pets most especially. I have 5 cats and 1 dog. I broke the pieces in half to give to the cats, though only 2 would eat them. And the dog got hers per label instructions. The reason I broke them up before feeding to the cats was because per the label instructions, they are for dogs alone. However, the photos show both a cat and dog on the front of the label. And the description that I read before ordering stated that they can be used for both cats and dogs. But, label instructions are generally better information than a seller description. By the time I got the chews, it was too late in the move to try to get anything else to give to them, so I just broke them apart and watched my babies very carefully to be sure they weren't in any distress. I can happily report that there were absolutely no negative reactions at all! Well, aside from most of them not even trying them, but that's not very surprising for my crew. Like their mom, they are very picky about what they eat. I was thankful that they did help the babies that are them, it made for a slightly quieter drive. I was disappointed that the description was not the same as the label, but as I said, I had no adverse reactions due to this difference. If you have a nervous dog, this will most definitely help! Although I did use them with 2 of my cats, I don't know that I would recommend anyone else doing the same, as the label clearly states for dogs only. I was lucky and had no problems, but I would hate for someone else to have an issue with their babies because of the inconsistencies!! Be well ... show more
