The pad doesn’t seem to trap heat and feels cool to the touch at all times. The straps to secure it to the mattress were a nice added touch since other mattress pads we’ve had have slid around when they’re only secured by fitted sheet. We have been sleeping on this mattress topper for a few weeks now and it definitely has improved our sleep. Our bed is so cozy now and we are tossing and turning less through the night. It is holding its shape well, with no indents to speak of yet. The topper is incased in something akin to a fitted sheet so it stays in place. We purchased the Plush Soft version to add more cushioning to a new Saatva mattress that was a bit too firm. The topper provides significant cushioning and is very comfortable to sleep on. Battling shoulder and knee injuries and this helps. My one complaint is that the topper is super heavy and thick making it more difficult to get sheets on. I’ve also needed to rotate already after about 2 months of use because it forms depressions, and both my partner and I are under 145 lbs so the plush may not be right for heavier individuals.
