  • Simple, functional, and effective way to secure your tablet to the controller *UPDATED - iPad Mini*
UPDATE: I just bought the new iPad Mini as holding up a full size iPad for two hours at a time was not ideal. The Mini fits perfectly, and will fit with a bumper-style case (shown in pic). I ran a short mapping mission with it and it was fantastic. If you need to attach a tablet to your DJI gen 2 controller, this is a good way to do it. Pros: cheap, lightweight, accepts most tablets and is reasonably secure. Cons: Does *not* like tablets in cases, flops around when tablet is not in it, while secure enough for reasonable use, I would not advise testing it's limits. If the clip that goes over the antenna tubes in the controller actually clipped to them, rather than just sitting under them, it wouldn't flop around and require two hands to insert the tablet. Overall. however, it does the job acceptably well and I would buy it again. ... show more

  • Z Fold 3 - works great!
As a recreational DJI Mini 2 pilot I found it extremely hard to see my iPhone 13 Pro Max screen in direct sunlight. Decided to take a gamble and purchase a Z Fold 3 for the bigger display. To my surprise, not only is the display bigger but also seems brighter for some reason (nits rating is lower than iPhones). At first I didn't think this bracket would work, seemed too big for the Z Fold 3, but as I kept playing with it, I noticed that this bracket actually has 2 settings, 1 for large tablets and another for smaller tablets (after placing bracket on, do not unfold - this will allow smaller devices to fit). This adjustable bracket worked great, fits nice and sturdy and not hard to get phone on or off. ... show more

  • Simple to use, sturdy and made my tablet fit perfectly.
I bought a fairly inexpensive tablet to use with my drone because I don't own any of the expensive phones that can connect to the drone and didn't want to buy one. The new tablet works great and has a nice big screen. The only problem: the tablet didn't fit in the controller by just about an inch. For a few dollars and a short wait, I got a solution to the problem that didn't break the bank. And plus, if I get a call while, I'm using my drone, I can answer it without having to interrupt or disassemble. ... show more

  • Works for 1st Gen iPad Pro
I wanted to use my 1st Gen iPad Pro as my monitor attached to the DJI RC-N1. This did work however, it lost a star only because it's a bit awkward to attach to the antenna without seeming that you are going to damage it, or the antenna itself. It works well and does the job. It doesn't pack away as nicely as I had hoped and with the amount of gear that I carry in my bag, space is valuable and it awkwardly takes up an amount of real estate that I don't particularly care for. If you are using a drone only set up, this is a good alternative to be able to attach a tablet to your controller. If you are a photographer trying to minimize the amount of gear in your everyday bag, I would suggest dropping the dime on the DJI RC. ... show more

  • Amazingly simple.
I’ve tried other holders all have had their issues. But this fits iPad Minis (not opened) to iPad Airs (opened all the way). Small it fits in anybody’s kit. Cheaper than almost all of them. Lastly, surprisingly keeps the iPad (your tablet of choice) securely held.

  • Works well, but breaks easily
I found that this tablet holder certainly works, but I broke a portion of it when I turned it in the wrong direction.

  • Very compact tablet holder. Holds tablet low and close in, making for a maneuverable setup.
The HeiyRC tablet mount gives me a tight, easy-to-maneuver setup for mounting my iPad (7th generation, 9.8 inches wide) to the remote controller that I use, DJI's RC-N1. The HeiyRC's design keeps the setup's center of gravity low and close in, which helps maneuverability. I had been using the Hanatora 4- to 11-inch tablet bracket to mount my iPad to the RC-N1. It works, but the Hanatora setup puts your tablet up and away from the remote controller, which makes the setup top-heavy and little awkward to control. And, compared to the Hanatora unit, the HeiyRC bracket itself is very small and easily storable and transportable. I recommend watching the company's video, which shows how to install the unit. The most important tip I picked up from that video was how to "snap in" the unit to the RC-N1's antenna, making for a secure mount ... show more

  • Cheaper than the controller with the screen.
Have a DJI drone with no built in screen. I really wanted a newer one with the built in screen. This is my sub until I break down and put it in the budget. Honestly might not. $250 for an Ipad that I can use elsewhere and this fit the bill.
