I'll go ahead and give 5 stars because this is what I was looking for... A battery-operated, water-proof LED strip. I plan to put on a wreath on the front door, which is why it needs to be water-proof and battery-operated. The light themselves are very bright, so they seem to be good quality. Since it uses a USB cable to power the LED light strip, then it seems I can use any battery pack, not just the one they provided. The downside is the Android app. It's Mohuan LED. I first tried to use an old tablet running Android 6.0 and it couldn't detect the LED strip. I worked up to a tablet running Android 7.0 and it worked. May be more relevant to the bluetooth support on the tablet, but off hand, I don't know what bluetooth they have. Once connected, the connection seems to drop every now and then. I'm not sure who is the blame, the app, the tablet, or the LED strip. Since the connection drops, I'm skeptical I'll be able to get the scheduling in the app to work. And then finally, the app is supposed to be able to support synchronize to ambient music through your device's microphone, but it really doesn't do a good job synchronizing. It just blinks when it hears a change in sound. That's a bit disappointing. But overall since I couldn't find any other LED strip which was battery-operated and water-proof, then I'm glad I found this one. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. UPDATE: I added the star back because seller sent me an email that he is sending a replacement light strip. Turns out the reason for malfunction was due to a broken wire. I would like to add that the seller is an EXCELLENT seller and response fairly quickly. I do recommend this seller!! Also they have made new modifications to the way the strips connect to each other. They are now more secure and before they were loose and wonky, the new modifications addressed that. End of update. So I have to deduct 1 star and here is why, it comes with One white copper female to male connector/adapter and three black ones. The “ Instructions it comes with“ and I put the word instructions in parentheses because it is just a booklet with pictures. It does not tell you that it comes with one white copper adapter and three black ones and so if you connect the black adapter onto the white splitter, the remote control will not work. you do have to make sure you line the arrows together so that you do not have a short circuit. I believe I was sold a returned item because mine had been opened and looked used but I’m OK with that, as long as the lights continue to work. They do have different settings and like I said, the instructions (pictures) are pretty easy to follow if you make sure you place all your pieces out in front of you because somehow I had missed the white copper adapter that goes into the end of the splitter. Overall I like the lights, I still have not gotten it to work with Alexa but I just ordered two more in the hopes that I can get at least one to work properly for our Sunday event. Was disappointed that although they did come in, in time for Halloween, the one adapter keeps falling out so it is a very hit and miss with the lights so I actually had to just put some tape on it to try and keep it from falling out in order to make the lights work. If I got a working set as described, I would recommend this product. UPDATE, I contacted the seller and sent a picture of the issue and they were very kind and are rectifying the issue. They are very fast to work with and very pleasant sellers. I am going to add the star back that I had originally deducted in good faith that the set they send out will work as promised. ... show more

I purchased 2 packs of 2 of these 100 ft lights and... 2 out of the 4: only half the strips work properly. Half of the strips of lights work but half of the lights turn colors while the other half either sticks to 1 color or the lights burn out all together. Attempting to put up our last strip of lights and not holding any hope they will work properly. So out of 4 strips only 1 has proven to work right so far...the frustration more so comes from the time and effort it takes to put them up, because the sticky stuff doesnt always like stick, just to tear them down and put another one back up again in hopes it works. ... show more
