The scissors are heavy duty, well constructed, and versatile. They work really well at cutting through chicken bones and touch gristle. At $13 this is a good value.

This is a multi-functional tool for the kitchen. Cut through raw and cooked meats with ease. I used it for baked and grilled chicken. Worked very well. I like that the scissors twist apart for cleaning between blades. It has a serrated edge for sawing, although I'll probably never have a need for that function. I think it would be good for descaling fish. I'm going to say I would never give this as a gift as that cover is hideous. The scissors themselves do not seem very attractive to me, so these will not replace kitchen scissors I already have. The lever that holds it closed takes some effort to push closed, so somewhat inconvenient. Overall, it's a decent pair of kitchen scissors for the price point. Works exactly as described.

Super practical and excellent cutting edge for cutting all types of meat or poultry! Think it is an excellent design and very versatile that you are able to take them apart for cleaning and one side you are able to use separately while they are apart to be used only as a small knife since it is a straight blade (the other side is a curved blade), the straight blade has wavy serrations on the back that look like a saw for cutting and indented wavy grooves on the handle for additional gripe while separated and using. Overall, the grip is comfortable while using, at least for me, I have used it for separating whole chicken wings, chicken quarters (removing the back bone), deboning chicken thighs, taking the back out of a whole chicken and cutting it up into parts, also have used these on hard shell lobsters for getting the meat out of the claw and body for making lobster rolls for the family, no problems reporting on any of that. It comes with a sheath for storing it in your drawer; the sheath is a nice addition but super cheesy looking but helps eyeballing them super quick in your overcrowded utility drawer. I have a professional knife sharpener and tried the paper test on these shears after a couple usages, the paper tests no workie, but it was worth the try, it did feather cut the paper while together sharp and cleanly. The only problem that I have had with these shears is that when putting them back together again after being apart, the ‘O’ spring in the middle will lay flat preventing the two from get back on and closing, just need to pop it back up at the tab and it’s good to go again. So, far no complaints and impressed with their ability in handling and cutting.

This is a vine review meaning the product was provided to be reviewed. This product is a pair of metal kitchen scissors with metal handles, and leatherette holster. It is packed in a decorated box suitable for gifting if wrapped. See attached three detailed photos of product open and closed, holster, and box. These kitchen shears are the best I have owned. They have serrated teeth along a curved cutting arc and the metal handles are spring loaded so you do not have to use the back of your fingers to open the scissors. The scissors can be held shut using a thumb paw that locks into a dedicated cutout on the scissor top. The scissors also have a bottle cap opener on the bottom and a fish scaler on the top. The fish weren’t biting, so I could not review the scaler, but there was a bottle of beer in the fridge and the opener worked fine. A leather at holster with belt loop is included with the product, enabling buyers to be the fastest scissor in the west. The build of the scissors is appropriate for heavy duty kitchen shears and will be effective in preparing meats, poultry, and fish for cooking. In summary, I am delighted with this product. It is intelligently designed, competently manufactured, and presents as a desirable tool in my kitchen. I am glad I ordered it and look forward to using it for many years.

These have been a lifesaver when prepping meals for the week. We do a lot of chicken - rotisserie, breast, and thighs - and it’s 10 times easier cutting it up with these than a knife. They are super sharp and work so well, and an added bonus is they’re easy to clean!

When I was in high school, some companies used to hire other students to go around and show their knives and how their scissors could cut through a penny. It was hokey, but it seemed impressive at the time. Not anymore. These put those scissors/shears to shame. The mechanisms are more solid than my fancy garden shears and the handles and angle of the blades etc are clearly going to generate more force than the garden shears that cut cleanly through 1" diameter gnarled grapevines at pruning time. Unfortunately, you don't use your kitchen shears to prune your garden (and the new growth in pruning this time of year wouldn't be much of a challenge for anyway. So, I haven't really put these to the test yet, but they are solid and well crafted and have handled all of the mundane tasks I've thrown at them with aplomb. The only downside is that the faux leather sheath they come with (speaking of garden shears) is pretty cheap material. But you don't buy these for the sheathe. I received a free set of shears through Amazon Vine in return for an unbiased review.
