Don’t listen to the armatures negatively reviewing this kennel. This kennel sets up fast and tears down the same. If you own a tornado of a dog, then you need this crate! I’ve read some of the reviews on here and people complain about the moistnessYes, aluminum is noisy, so get a pad for the bottom. If his crate is durable and escape proof if set up correctly. I’ve used some of the higher end K9 kennels offered by other companies and this one is by far the lighter of the bunch. Totally worth it if you have a lot of dog.

WOW! I have American bullies ranging from 100lbs to 130lbs and we'd go through one crate a year (sometimes more). This kennel is sturdy and was relatively easy to put together! Although the price seems high, it's a cheaper alternative to another big brand that charges basically double. The only irritation is the noise of their nails on the bottom of the kennel. Of course I've put blankets in there but my dogs arrange the blankets how they want, often exposing the floor. I wish they provided some kind of insert that was a different material to make their nails quieter (yes, their nails are trimmed or naturally low).

We ordered two of the large crates at just under $850 each with tax because two of our three dogs really damaged some wire crates that we had. Both are escape artists and we thought there would be no way that they could escape from these. So far they have not, but both crates are now damaged. One crate is so damaged that you can actually see the inside of the door at this point (the aluminum folded up like a pop can). I saw another customer's pictures of what their dog did and thought that had to be an exception. It is not. My dogs have not escaped these crates YET. They will though. If the damage they did to these crates in a few days is any indicator of the quality of the materials used, they will be out within a month. We'll contact the company to see what can be done, but I would not even want a replacement as these really are nothing special. One crate was even missing some rivets, so Q.A. is certainly not a priority at K9 Kennel Boss. The piano hinges on these crates are a joke - the metal is very flimsy. The added knurled knobs help with rigidity, but the space between the knobs and corners is oddly engineered. And, these crates are LOUD when dogs move around in them. I certainly would not recommend them if you are in an apartment or other area where noise needs to be kept to a minimum. Even when dogs move around in them normal, they are LOUD. I wish this review could be better because I really did want to like these crates, but they're garbage. I feel hosed by a company that sells cheaply made crates at a premium price. Maybe an impact crate would be better, but it seems like they are about the same quality as well.

This crate is exactly like an Impact collapsible crate at a much more reasonable price. The door is like the older version of Impacts with the bars instead of holes. I prefer this as it gives much better ventilation. The large is equivalent to the 40+ with Impact. Impact charges $1300 for the tan vs $750 for this one. The thumb screws are a game changer and really make the crate solid. It's such a good idea that Impact sort of copied it except theirs are 2 pieces with a bolt that goes on the inside and a cheap plastic nut that goes on the outside. The only negative (and it's not enough to take off any stars IMO) is I don't like how the tabs on the side rails are exposed on the inside of the crate (2nd pic). For some dogs that chew on everything, this could be a cutting hazard. Impact collapsible crates gave the same issue. I wish there were little pockets welded on the inside that would cover the tabs. Maybe future versions could incorporate something like that.

Got this after my high anxiety GSD destroyed his “heavy duty” crate with reinforcement modifications. Broke down and spent the $$$ on this and it has been the best thing. Now when we leave the house he calms down almost immediately (we have cameras throughout the house) without his meds. During storms, he actually wants to be in his crate instead of our tiny bathroom. Why didn’t I spend the $$ sooner? Was really easy to assemble and is really strong. A great purchase!

Anyone with a Maligator knows the struggle of finding a crate that lives up to a Malinois standards. However most people don’t have $1,500 to spend on a crate. So we stumbled across k9 kennel boss crates and knew it was worth a shot. At almost half the cost of its competitor, I think it’s a far better design and just as strong! Maligator approved, by both my 60lb female pup AND my 95lb Maligator. In fact both could fit in at the same time if I needed them to. Best purchase ever.

Front door is sturdy but the other three sides are not as thick. My dog has had his nails trimmed and was medicated with vet prescription anxiety medication and he was walked before being put in this crate. I had made the effort in training him to associate this crate with calm and positive environment with a generous amount of treats. He should have not been able to break this so easily. This crate didn’t even last 48 hours.

Easy to set up once you’ve gone through it once or twice and its size makes it easy for traveling. Compared to its other competitors this is a much cheaper option that gives you what you need for those dogs that seem to break out of everything.
