I don't know if I'd go so far as to call this 'heavy duty', but it should take the basic knocks and dings of everyday use. The watch itself has a larger face, easy to read, easy to set, and illuminates well. The only weak spot I'd guess would be the band. It's a fairly thin band with a plastic buckle. It does look easy to replace if needed though. With basic water resistance for showering and swimming, this is a decent all around watch. Now, this is a watch that is less than $20 so I wouldn't wear it while working construction or a more physically intense job, but this would be pretty decent for everyone else. ... show more

Ok, it's not jewel encrusted and sparkly, but it's very easy to read and that's the reason to have a timepiece isn't it? Easy to set up, lightweight, good features (time, date, stopwatch, alarm) and accurate all at a great price.
