The simplicity is key to this watch. The 3 button interface is very intuitive in its design, you can get to its functions easily; no need to consult the manual. I have had many watches that after a period of time, I need to read the manual again to perform a desired operation. Simple 3 buttons: 1- mode go to function (time-alarm-stopwatch-change time). 2- tell watch you want to change something. 3- change a value. And the light of course. Have seen several reviews of hard to read display in daylight. I suspect this is due to the certain models with the dark background (negative display). I have the black watch color model with a standard light background display and dark numbers. No problem reading the display in various levels of light. Low light the amber light works well. Thus make note of the display background (light vs dark/negative) when ordering. Watch band will be the weak point. These bands break well before the watch battery fails. Treat gently when removing the watch; dont over-bend the band. The band is long to fit most wrist sizes. You can trim off the end of the band if too long for your wrist (I did). This watch has a very nice design that anyone of any age can wear, and the screen lights make it easy to see. It's also water-resistant and has a long-lasting battery. My husband loved it; it was his Valentine's Day gift.

I’ve been on the lookout for a nice watch for everyday use, but that would also withstand long backpacking trips or even a thru hike. I really wanted to get one of the fancy Garmin watches, but I just can’t justify spending $400+ on a watch right now. Another factor I’ve run into is trying to find a watch that works well for tiny wrists. This watch I feel is the perfect size! It looks expensive, but I got it on sale for $16. Love that it is also waterproof, comfortable and light weight! I did end up trimming the wristband because there was a lot of excess, but I’m sure people won’t notice that. So far I’m very pleased!
