These adapters were the perfect solution for mounting my two 4 ft fiberglass whip antennae on my 2018 Ford F150 XLT. I had to order another one for another antenna which will also be front mounted for a different radio. I ordered 3 mounting brackets for these adapters and everything fits together nicely. These adapters should be rust resistant and provide adequate electrical connections for my two way radios. These adapters are required for stud based antennae on the newer aluminum body trucks to provide a way to create a pseudo ground plane. The price was a bit high for what it is but I would have spent more driving 28 miles to my nearest radio shop. All in all, these are a fair deal. The finish is shiny. When installing, you should use tape on the tool suface that makes contact with the flat spots to prevent scratching the adapter. The durability and functionality are yet to be determined but I don't expect to have any problems with either characteristic. Proper maintenance should be performed as needed to keep them in good condition.

Bought this connector to mount a ham radio HF hamstick to my vehicle using a vehicle roof mag mount. I only use the mount while the vehicle is parked ... not moving, so I can't review how well this would/could hold up while traveling. For my use, this was a good buy. The mag mount came with an SO-239 connector, so I ended up needing a PL-259 to PL-259 adapter to connect the two together. Not bad, but it does sit a bit high on the mount because of it. I'm happy with this and give me portable HF capability without needing to string up a wire in a tree (that may or may not be there ...).

The white insulator that comes with it is to thin. It goes in the aluminum mount only about 1/16". The area that goes into the mounting hole needs to be at least 1/8"-3/16" so it does not short out. I finally got it set right so the antenna mounting stud would not short out to the ground.

I came across an old CB antenna that needed the bottom adapter to make the connections to the cable. This part is made well and should be easy to install. I will need to locate the proper terminals to connect the CB cable to unit and I will be in business.
