Theyโre very soft and comfortable. Theyโre one size fits all, so a little big and bulky, but they fit under bigger shoes. I have reynauds in my toes, and I ended up with bad frostbite this winter. These will let me go for walks in the cold, do some outdoor chores or just warm up my feet in the house when they get cold for no reason. I just bought a second pair, so I can switch out the batteries/wash the socks. The battery packs are thin and easy to turn on and off as needed.

The socks appear to be good quality. The batteries are compact and fit securely in their pockets. The material is soft and comfortable. They seemed adequately durable but they haven't been put to the test. Warmth is good at the middle settings. For general use with walking shoes, roomy boots, maybe even for cycling, these socks could work. For skiing, I have custom fitted boots and footbeds and these socks are simply too thick, resulting in pressure points and a cut off of circulation, negating the benefit of the warmth. Since my primary purpose for purchasing them was to keep my toes warm while skiing, I will be returning them. But for other purposes, they are a reasonably priced, decently made option.

The sock size is a perfect fit. The rechargeable batteries are much lighter than I expected, which is nice and easy to carry! It is so thoughtful of them to provide a laundry bag underneath. I am going to get an extra pair for my sister!

I've used the socks several times, weather permitting, since I received them just before the onset of winter weather. I've worn them on cold days and mild days and some in between days. The fabric that the socks are made from seems to be reasonably high quality. Feels like thick wool but I'm not sure if it's actually synthetic or not. Regardless, they feel pretty good. The batteries charge somewhat quickly, but they're not what I would call fast charge, and they fit snugly in the pocket at the top of the sock. The pocket has a button to secure it. The settings are a little bit difficult to change, especially with gloves on which I would think would be the most common time to change them, but once set they perform well. I've worn them with max heat and middle heat and also setting #1 if that's what it's called. High heat drains the battery in about an hour, and be advised, it is very warm. Good if you've got an hour long chore outside in extreme cold...not so good if you're on a long project that requires a few hours out in that type of weather. Middle setting seems to be the best balance of time and charge and in most cases delivers the heat that you need to make a difference over non-heated socks. After all, most don't live in Antartica so the highest setting isn't used all that much. I really didn't notice a difference in the #1 setting. To be fair though, I only used #1 twice. The biggest con I have with these is the power wire that feeds the heating pad on the sock. A flat, low profile ribbon design would be a good improvement over the round one with which these were equipped. Each time I wore the socks, (6), I received a abrasion on my foot depending on where the wire was positioned. I was unable to move the wire effectively to minimize this but when I did it did reduce the abrasion that I was getting while walking. However, it didn't eliminate it. In each case I walked about 3.5 to 4 miles with our dogs on our daily routine. I needed to both wait for the weather to be appropriate to use them as well as to let the abrasion reduce in tenderness before I walked around in them again. You don't really want to use these on very mild days, it's overkill and why would you use socks that have wires in them unless you need the heat? Having said that, the wires left no blister and it never progressed beyond a tenderness from abrasion during walks but this discomfort is still a bit of a problem for me. I will continued to use them, when appropriate, because they do work on those very cold days and if you're not moving at a steady 3.5 MPH clip for an hour plus, perhaps the abrasion would be less of an issue. I will not wear them to walk the dogs any longer however and that was a big reason for why I obtained them in the first place.
