After researching many types of non-toxic wax for candle making, I landed here. I am very happy with my purchase and will continue using Hearth and Harbor's products. The wax was not oily and melted easily in a crock pot. I used natural coloring- the wax held the color evenly. The candles burn well and are long lasting- much longer than store bought candles. The wax smell is fairly strong, but was easily masked with cinnamon sticks (or other fragrances you choose). Best cost/quality of product I have found. ... show more

The wax melts very well. For vibrant colors add a little extra pigment. Need to add extra drops of essential oil scents because the scent fades some as it cools. Mixes well with color wax chips. Curing times depend on the amount of wax used. Give it a little tap to release air bubbles or the wax may collapse as it cools. ... show more

This was a great set for me for my first time making candles. There is a lot of wax and I’ve been making mason jar candles. I love soy wax. This burns clean and it is easy to melt and pour. I added some essential oils to this wax and it turned out very nice.
