  • Better looking and great price, cant go wrong with that!
The black plastic case looks like cheap plastic to be honest, but the key itself fills sturdy in comparison to the original setup key fob. Mine came in a bit too tight and would activate the rear trunk unlock button continuously so I had to use a dremel to shave off just a bit of material, and once done i had no issues with the setup. All in all, for the cost and the new body looks far better than the original and outlay the cons. Note that this does not come with the chip to program, so you will need to get that from the OG key or the dealer. One last thing, the new fob has 2 screws, do NOT remove the screw on the flat surface located opposite side of the buttons; this screw unlocks the flip key mechanism, it's not too hard to put back but just leave it be. Remove the screw located on the side of the fob farthest away from the key once extended. I'll update if things go south with the setup. ... show more

  • Ehhh.. its ok
Key blade is very loose in the fob. Assembly after removing the blade to get cut doesn't seem to fit correctly. DO NOT REMOVE THE SCREW IN THE BACK OF THE KEY as this will open the key spring mechanism. You only have to remove the screw from the bottom of the fob to insert your electronics. Works for a 2015 Lancer but I may just throw this away and buy the regular fob shell as I am afraid this will break at a bad time. Nice upgrade but be warned it doesnt seem very sturdy. UPDATE : 10/2022 key fell apart about a month ago. Fortunately, I kept the OEM case. ... show more

  • Good
Better looking case for my Mitsubishi lancer 2009. The last pic is the old style key and the first 2 pic’s are after I swapped the electronic device from old case to new case. Only negative thing is after I put the electronic component inside this new case, it won’t close completely after I put screws and tightened them. I can see small gap because this case should have more space inside for the chip to fit perfectly. ... show more

  • Saves space feels cheap.
Looks and feels and goes together like a cheap universal design...because it is but overall it's better than the original design and saves some space in the pocket

  • This is extremely cheap plastic.
It feels disgusting to hold. I broke it apart to get the key out and now I can’t put it back together. The cuts are so horrible. Just keep the nice key Mitsubishi gives you.

  • Good stuff
Is good. Like the key is metal and the thingy is plastic. It works. Looks cool. Like.

  • Item did not work properly!
Got this for my 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer. Like many people mentioned, this thing is not sturdy at all. Everytime i turn off my car i feel the casing flex and the plastic feels a bit cheap compared to original key. Also the trunk button kept pressing because the buttons they provided had the stem to long. Had to trim it down and now i have to click the button super hard. Overall do not recommend the switch blade version. ... show more
