This product rates 5 stars because it does what it claims to do, it helps people with mild to moderate hearing loss to regain the ability to hear at almost normal ranges. The OTC product probably can’t compete with the audiologists thousand dollar products. I have no experience with those, but I do have experience with Apple’s Air Pods Pro 2, the device for bluetooth listening now with hearing aid capability. I will compare the two since they are the same price and similar function. The WLCMRD hearing aids come in premium packing, akin to any Apple product. The User Manual is clear, concise and illustrative. the Tip Cards have useful information.The devices are housed in the charging case that shows the charged level of the case.The charging cord will fit any USB charging block. The aids come with 5 sizes of ear tips, a cleaning brush, and replacement wax guards. The aids are controlled by pushing a small button on each device. A signal sounds for each operation, the sounds did not work on my set, I was offered a replacement set when I emailed the support address, but kept what I had. I corresponded with the support staff, who responded overnight with complete, easily understood instructions (5 stars for customer service!) for me to use the buttons without the sounds. I found that my right ear device did not fit like the left device, so I changed the ear tip and corrected the whistle. Through trial and error I found the correct mode for normal use and volume level that was comfortable for me and have used them every day for the last 2 weeks. A comparison to the Apple Air Pods, revealed the WLCMRD aids have a slightly less natural sound, but while the Air Pods have better sound and the accompanying hearing test and ear fit test, they are not meant for all day wearing in public. The Air Pods of course stick out, so it its assumed you are listening to music, they will fall out when eating or talking rapidly, plus they only are charged for 6 hours. The ability to use a Bluetooth app is helpful in switching modes. The WLCMRD staff said a Bluetooth version would be available 3Q2025, very helpful. Since I am retired I don’t need hearing aids all my waking hours. I use the WLCMRD aids when leaving home and use the Air Pods at home, which are useful for listening to music or the iPad. I recommend the WLCMRD hearing aids as an affordable solution to mild or moderate hearing loss; they are easy to use, well constructed, have excellent customer support, and with anticipated Bluetooth connectivity should be the 5 star choice.

A family member uses hearing aids but recently the one she had broke. Originally I thought about getting her AirPod pros to hold her over but these look legit so figured why not. As I don’t use it, I can only tell you what she said about them. She said they work just as good as the ones that she had before. They work about the same way too which means it’s easy to use. She said they are pretty comfortable and good value. Her previous ones were around the same price. She said she’ll keep these as a backup once she gets her prescription ones back. So there you go, seems pretty legit and works well.
