This head strap came with the battery mostly charged. It is much more comfortable than the strap that came with my Meta Quest. It is made for the Quest 3, not compatible with Quest 2.

Easy to install onto the Quest 3. Is really comfortable to use, better than the factory strap. I was using a different aftermarket strap without a battery pack, and this feels just as comfortable. The battery pack being built into the strap itself is a bonus, no extra material/items on your head. And the battery pack actually helps balance the Quest 3. (For my head at least) The little added weight on the back counteracts the weight of the Quest 3 pretty well. I didn't get the 8 extra hours that is advertised but was still over 6. But as with any type of battery item, usage varies from user to user, so that's not a negative for me. Didn't get too warm during use either. This is a huge upgrade to the OEM head strap that comes with the Meta Quest 3 and provides the additional benefit of considerably extending your play time. I haven't had it long enough to do in-depth testing in terms of how long the battery actually lasts, but I've used it enough to know that I haven't even seen my Quest 3's battery dip below 100%. I've seen other reviews for similar devices complain that the weight of the battery pack is an issue, but I did not notice that being a problem with this head strap. I found it to be very comfortable and, if anything, it actually balances out the weight on your head. This head strap provides plenty of padding and it remains comfortable even after wearing it for extended periods of time. I think this is competitively priced and I find it to be a great way to enhance your VR experience. ... show more

I was previously using the official Elite Head-strap (without battery) from Meta. This head strap is much more comfortable. As you can see from the photos, they added cushioning to the top and rear areas that come into contact with your head. The weight of the battery on the back actually makes wearing the Quest 3 more stable and reduces the pressure on the front of your face. The largest complaint about the Quest 3 is the terrible battery life, but this completely fixes that issue. The battery has LED indictors near the power button to display how much charge is remaining. I used the Quest 3 for around 2 hours and the external battery as still showing 3/4 charged. ... show more

Works really well. Makes your quest last for many hours past. Quest 3 I believe has a shorter battery life so this helps it so much more. Anything is better than the stock head strap however for something to extend play time the head strap should be comfortable. This head strap is decent and comfortable with a thick foam on top of your head so that you can play with ease for hours. I do want to mention that it does get a bit heavy in the front, I'm not sure if it's just because of the weight the Oculus but for me it was minor. I definitely recommend it since the charging and head strap are amazing. In addition, I hate cable for the charging that gets in the way of play and this avoids doing that so I really like it. ... show more

My wife loves the various VR exercise apps and being a good husband I recently upgraded her to a Meta Quest 3. That also required buying a few 'essential' accessories for her fitness apps including this. You replace the OEM headstrap with this and it is more comfortable and more stable. Nice replacement strap for the OEM one that comes with the Oculus. I like that I can tighten it to fit my head and it is comfortable. I don't have to keep adjusting it like I did the OEM one.
