This head strap for the Quest 3 is leagues better than the default strap that comes with it. The strap has a nice padded top so that the device rest comfortably on your head. The dial on the back allows you to adjust the tightness without having to resort to moving the elastic bands. I also like that it came with a silicone cover for the face so that when you sweat it does not soak into the fabric face cover. The image shows that it comes with a silicone front cover but it does not although this is not mentioned anywhere in the description.

Set option for this review: Head Strap + Face model. This set comes with the head strap as pictured, along with a rubber gasket that covers the existing woven cloth facepad on the Quest 3 (Q3). This option does not have the extended battery compartment. Initial Setup I followed the instructions to install the headstrap. It was easy, everything fit together as expected, and took about 10 minutes. I wear glasses, and did not have to change out any of the spacers that came with the Q3. Pros + Very comfortable, huge improvement over the factory straps. + Holds adjustments well. After set up, I do not have to re-adjust often. Unlike the factory straps which have a tendency to get loose. + Back adjustment knob is intuitive and simple. + Face cover blocks out additional light. There is only a small sliver that still gets through, right near my nose. + Can use with my glasses. Cons - The 'fold-up' feature does not work too well for me. If I try to fold up the headset, it gets stuck in them. But it's still a helpful feature as it helps with taking the headset on and off, without having to re-adjust settings. Even with my glasses off, you can't really wear this around with the headset folded up as the photos suggest, since the headset would not stay on securely. - The heavily padded top strap is adjustable via velcro. It works, but I feel this could have been done better, by having a O shaped pad like in the back, with a better adjusting mechanism. This review is based on initial impressions after one day of use. Will update in a few weeks after using it over a longer period.

I can see why there are many types of headset gear for sale. The original strap and head gear that come with the Quest 3 aren’t the most comfortable. What I like about this one is the head panel behind the head. It makes it feel so much more secure. The strap on top is also easy to adjust and the replaceable face pad is also much more comfortable. This allows me to wear it longer and it stays secures on the head. The OEM straps made my head feel like the circulation was cut off! Not this one. I definitely recommend an upgrade for your Quest if you haven’t yet. The quality also feels good like I expect it to last awhile. Happy VR-ing!

The best thing about this strap is the knob adjustment at the back of the strap, where you can turn it to tighten or loosen the strap. The default strap would also loosen by itself all the time, and this strap solves that too.
