I have been dealing with dry scalp flakes for over 30 years. Tried everything from mayo, to stinky and non stinky dry scalp shampoos, to coconut oil, to not washing, to using a comb to loosen the flakes and washing like 4 times. THIS really works! Even after using one time, a small thin line on the part and I put about 7 other lines thru my hair at the scalp just cause and rub it in---NO MORE FLAKES! I only use it occasionally now. This was recommended to me by a friend. It works quite well and provides some relief, although I must say the relief is not instant, and you must rub it into your scalp a bit for it to work. So it is not necessarily hands-free. Great buy nonetheless!

This literally fixed my scalp. I had been dealing with a mix of dry flakes flakes, oily psoriasis-like plaques, and build up for about two years. No amount of clarifying shampoo and traditional scalp oils could fix it, and medicated shampoos were far too drying for the rest of my hair, leaving it feeling crispy all the time. THIS SOLVED ALL OF THAT and I really mean it. By being able to treat just my scalp, I can use regular shampoos again and my hair no longer feels crispy. And don't let the "oil" in the name steer you away if you have oily hair. I have oily hair myself and this doesn't make it any more oily than it normally is. My main reason for trying this elixir was to find an immediate, leave-in solution to manage scalp itchiness throughout the day. My baseline for dealing with this issue usually involved waiting until my next shower or awkwardly scratching, which becomes a major distraction, especially during stressful social gatherings. The lasting I want is dandruff, itchy scalp, and a smelly head. The benchmark for this product was to stop the itch effectively without leaving my hair looking greasy or smelling medicinal. Upon the first few applications, I addressed the "cooling" claims on the bottle. While it advertises a cooling menthol sensation, I found the actual effect to be quite mild rather than an intense freeze. It isn't overwhelming, but it provides just enough sensory feedback to let you know it's working. In terms of relief, the performance is excellent. I order this every winter. We live in a cold winter climate and my scalp gets so dry and itchy with the heat on. I use this all over my scalp and massage it in at night and it instantly gives me relief along with a relaxing cooling feeling. I actually sleep better from that as well.
