As a professional in the technology industry, I give this advice about HDMI cables. 1. Don’t use the cable that came with the device. They are often HDMI 1.4 and of low quality. 2. HDMI 2.1 cables only. They are the most capable and will future proof your setup for years to come. 3. Use the shortest HDMI cable you can get away with. The longer the cable, the more chance you have of signal noise. I go with one of two aftermarket cables depending on the situation. Low to mid range configurations: For basic TV streaming, BluRay players, or lower resolution gaming consoles like the Nintendo Switch, I prefer the KabelDirekt cable. The price can't be beat for what you get. This level of cable can occasionally have issues with 4k 10-bit at 60hz (Xbox One X, PS5) and HDR10 encoding in movies. HDR10+ or Dolby Digital have never worked for me with the KabelDirekt cable. High end configurations: Fusion8k is my reliable, go-to cable for high end since the latest video sources and TVs support HDR10+ and Dolby Digital. They've also been perfect to meet the demands of the latest gaming consoles like the PS5. I went to the Center and try it out before my presentation to be sure it would wok. I connected my laptop to their TV set and it worked great. The picture was clear and I had no problems. Used these to connect my Blu Ray player and cable box to my TV. Immediately noticed an improvement in picture quality over the (major branded) I replaced. I didn't need 2 meter cables any longer. I run this cable, when needed, across the room to my cabinet (in MY room), and it is fairly flexible and easy to roll up quickly when I want to get it outta the way. It's easy to use and has apparent great quality....it's not made in Germany, but I think they managed to insure that China makes a high quality cable, though. It really does work very well, and is much more flexible than another long HDMI cable that I can hardly BEND. I have used this cable a great deal lately, and it works really great for me. I like it. Good value. Just be wary of the HDMI connector coming loose from the weight of this cable (it's not lightweight). Use strain relief if you can. Rubber band? ... show more
