    • Functions with some quirks.
Study the manual as it is not intuitive. It works for a small video camera, but I am not sure I would use this in a professional capacity. The picture quality of the photos at its best setting is less than 200KB per photo. The video is OK for recording events that are not crucial if some detail is missed. Good for hikes, touring a new city, recording family events etc. The motion detection function works, except for one missing detail that is not in the manual. Once you put it in motion detection mode, it will stay in that mode the next time you power it on. When you power it on it automatically starts recording video since you are moving the camera. The only way to turn off the motion detection (I found by trial and error) is to let it sit still while you are holding it, like sitting it on a desk and holding it down strong enough to not move the camera and long press the back button once it stops recording due to no motion. That is in standby mode. It has to be in standby mode to get to the menu and you have to get to the menu to turn off the motion detection. The other item is the lights are not infrared. They are just lights like on a flashlight. Human eyes can’t pick up infrared so that is how the night vision cameras work. The human eye sees a dark room, but the camera picks up the infrared light to show illumination. This is just a normal flashlight. Lastly, there is no reference to water resistance that I can find. I would not use this in the rain, or where it could get splashed, or even snowed on as that will melt and turn to water. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I love this mini body camera because it's small but packs great quality. The HD 1080P resolution ensures clear videos, and the 180° rotatable lens makes capturing the perfect angle so easy. It's perfect for outdoor activities like hiking or can easily be used while at work to record your activities for instance, a tow truck driver can use this during customer interactions or even just recording audio at meetings. However, please note that you need to buy the memory card separately, so be sure to grab one at the same time for immediate use. This advertises itself as being appropriate for law enforcement. No, this is not. It's not tamper proof or resistant, and doesn't have any of the auditing or reporting functions that are needed for proper evidence tracking. This is an OK camera for a body camera, but not for the purposes it claims.

    • Can’t use the clip and IR lights at the same time
I received this as a Christmas gift because of my hobby. I love the video quality and how light it is. My sole complaint and reason for not giving it 5 stars is that for what I shoot, the clip and screen should be reversed so that the IR lights are above the screen rather than above the clip. I shoot video at night and it makes no sense that the IR lights are on the same side as the clip thus negating the opportunity to shoot video hands free. ... show more
