Less than a month after receiving this piece of furniture, I started noticing small holes and sawdust. Those are the signs of insect infestation. How do I know this table came already infested and it's not a new problem? The long lifecycle of these bugs. Their larvae feed on wood inside for months before they chew their way out and emerge as adult bugs leaving holes and sawdust behind. So this table had to have larvae already inside when it arrived. The bugs you see in the photos are dead because I sprayed the table with pesticides (which also means now I have to live with toxic chemicals in my apartment!). But how many of these bugs have already escaped or going to emerge and escape to lay eggs and ruin my other furniture, musical instruments, the frame of the house and everything else made of wood? The manufacturer obviously didn't properly treat the wood for infestation prior to using it to make furniture. This could have been a nice piece of furniture otherwise but at this point I don't care about its other qualities. This infestation is absolutely disgusting! ... show more

Not nearly as good looking as in the photo. Pretty much impossible to return due to its weight and only having been given an address to return to. Shipping would cost more than the item.

I ordered 2 tables but only one was acceptable. The second one had what appeared and smelled like wood rot on the top of the table. I was told that is normal and is from a worm hole and the second picture was from a small tool scratch under the oil. (??) Would not honor a full return.

I was ready for some cracks and expansion, etc. and I was willing overlook the stripe of stain (very obvious and not complimentary). But it was just very unfortunate that the ONLY cracks in the piece are on the very top. I even tried turning it over, but there is an obvious “top”. So now we have to find something to permanently set on top. Instead of it being a show piece, it will likely be tucked in a corner and used strictly for practical reasons. ... show more

I love this beautiful serpentine hand crafted table, but I nearly had to send it back because of the cardboard that was packed between the carved levels. There were no instructions as to how to remove the very tightly packed cardboard. After phone calls to Amazon, the shipper and the importer to no avail, I finally prevailed upon my son to help. He had to use a chisel and hammer to force out the cardboard and now I can enjoy my table. ... show more

It’s beautiful but I made a mistake of not checking the weight. This thing easily weighs at least 50 pounds. I weigh 110 pounds. It was comic relief trying to get it out of the three boxes it came in by myself. It’s so nice I ordered a second one another room. We’re building right now so we’re stuck in a horrible tiny rental but I’m willing to take up a little more of my temporary space with a second one of these. The price is shockingly good. I would’ve paid at least $100 more than what these are selling for. Update/ I love the first one so much I ordered a second one. The second one was not quite as nice as the first. I understand each one will have different marks, texture, etc. but both ends of this one has scratches and long cuts marks. I had wanted this for a couple years and never bought it because it’s kind of pricey for just an end table. However I wish I would’ve got it a couple years ago I love it and I’m happy with the piece I received. I was a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews, and how difficult it would be to return it if necessary. It’s soooooo heavy. When I put a vase on top of it you could tell it clearly wasn’t a level surface. I used some of those pads that you put on the bottom of furniture so that it doesn’t scratch the floor to raise one side of it. Would’ve been nice if the craftsman had sanded down one side so that it was level to begin with….duh Anyway I’m happy with a piece that I received and wish I would’ve bought it years ago ... show more

    • My new favorite things. They are freaking awesome.
I was nervous about what condition my table was going to arrive in. Whether it be the natural manufacturer defects or some shipping damage, I was worried about my purchase before it got here. I ordered one and pre-ordered a second for when the next shipment came in. I am happy that I received two great looking tables with virtually no damage or major defects. The table is pretty heavy and quite the statement piece. It really stands out and helps define the style for the room. It just pops. It also looks great with my Poly and Bark Sculpture Coffee Table in Walnut . It's a great table and worth the extra money I paid that I normally would not have spent on a side table. ... show more
