I selected this bed for the storage, the modern design, the lights and the fact it doesn’t require a box spring. First you must be home to sign for the delivery. They will attempt 3 times but you can’t schedule a time. We work so we’re not able to be home all day waiting to sign for the package. We had to go pick it up. It requires a truck or large SUV. It weighs about 100 pounds. After getting it home into our garage we opened the box and there are 50 or more pieces. Many heavy. We took them upstairs a few at a time. After looking at the instructions, we decided to hire our handyman to assemble it it took him and his helper about 45 minutes or more to assemble. The drawers are on wheels so they won’t work on carpet. They are a little wobbly. Overall the bed is sturdy but the slats to hold the mattress are kind of thin and flimsy. There are lots of them so I can see how you might feel them through the mattress. Easy solution, we put a thin piece of plywood on top of the slats which solved all those problems. The frame is low, so I highly suggest at least a 14” tall mattress, or the bed will be too low. And would help from feeling the slats below if you don’t put any plywood in between. Finally as many reviews said there was a problem with the lights. The worked 1 time then if I hit the on button and held it I got flashing white lights. Nothing else. I saw others got a replacement from the company. But it’s impossible to find their contact information. So I called Amazon customer service and they were able to provide me with an email address for the manufacturer. I contacted them about the light problem and mentioned it’s been an issue for other customers as well. They were quick to respond and helpful. They new strip they sent has a different somewhat stronger connector. My handyman installed it and taped the wire to the headboard frame as he said if it gets tugged at while hanging there the tiny wires in the connector can tear or break inside which will cause the lights to malfunction. So just tape the wire near the the connection site to the frame. Overall for the price it’s a good bed frame once we tweaked a few things. ... show more

The bed is surprisingly well engineered. It is robust and sturdy and all the materials are good quality. The drawers are a bit junky, but still work well. Be prepared, putting it together is a TRIAL but it is very worth it once it's all put together. The instructions could use some better elaboration yes, but everything is pictured correctly. The only issue I had with the entire process was getting it delivered: FedEx is an absolute dumpster fire and trying to get them to even attempt a delivery on a huge package to a residence is a joke. After a "ding and dash" delivery attempt, two more alleged attempts (people have cameras now, we can see the drivers pull up and leave without trying to deliver) and holding the package over a weekend I was finally able to pick up my package, which looked mangled. I was worried there was damage, but again, this product is engineered very well, along with the tetris masters that package it up. Not one single scratch or scuff on anything! In short, very very good product but horrendous logistics in getting it to you. My advice if you want this bed: have it delivered to your work and get some help from someone with a pickup if you don't have one yourself! Amending this review: The customer service was very helpful in making sure I was satisfied with this purchase and refunded the cost of shipping. When looking at this product before purchasing there were a lot of not so favorable reviews, mostly in regards to the lights on the headboard. I loved the style and storage so much I went ahead and pulled the trigger and just spent a little extra for the protection incase something did malfunction. However I have to say I've had it for a few months now with no complications. It was easy enough to assemble between me and my partner. All in all I have no complaints! ... show more

I got the queen size. It's very modular in build-- very reminiscent of how ikea does their stuff-- so it was easy to build as well as understand the directions that came with it. The only thing that I wish was different was that the drawers don't have railing; they just have a sort of keyhole on the frame that lines up with a screw on the inside of the drawer. LEDs were kind of weird in that it's not wired with the bed. Like, you have to use one of the USB ports on the bed to use them unless it reaches an outlet, which I guess makes the LEDs replaceable if you need to, but they work fine. ... show more

Do you like a bed frame that is a mix of modern and vintage? Do you like a bed frame that is compact yet has practical storage solutions? The bed looks really nice and it is very sturdy. It is a little lower to the ground, so keep that in mind. Definitely easier to put together with 2 people. Instructions are easy to follow. The only thing is the lights work, but they come on on their own. So I unplug them when I want them off. (House isn’t haunted lol) ... show more
