Update: Still like this laundry bag a lot but now that I have had it a couple of months, I am updating to report the poles in this bag are a real pain. They don't stay in place and always poke out of the bag and they are ALWAYS in the way. Reach in the bag and you get poked in the face. You can leave the poles out and the bag works just fine, but doesn’t retain its structure so the opening doesn’t stay open. First question: Does it stand upright? Yes. The set comes with plastic poles that slip into slots (see pics) in each corner to give the bag enough structure to stand. You can take the poles out if you want to keep the bag collapsible - but they are not super easy to remove once they are in. Is it big? Yes, it's huge. Fits two large loads of heavy winter laundry (jeans, sweaters, sweatshirts) will definitely hold more come summer time. Durability? So far so good. The handles are easy to grip and seem to be stitched pretty well to hold up to a full bag of heavy clothes. Interior is lined with what seems to be an easy-to-clean lining. I'll probably update this later if I have any issues in the nrxt couple of months. ... show more

I have been looking at soft laundry basket options for some time before purchasing this one. The price was good and the it arrived very quick. I like the construction and the size is perfect for holding at least a couple loads maybe three. I had to open it and pop it in shape initially but after putting laundry in the bag it holds its shape just fine and I think after having laundry in it for a little bit it will stand up no problem. I am very pleased with this and I plan on simplifying my laundry system using these. Yeah Boy! Way, way better than my expectation. Let's start with the size, 15X15X25.5 inches will hold more than is practical. Appealing Burlap type material with a water resistant lining and 4 metal stays for the corners. Stays are fitted in a flap designed for that purpose with a Velcro closer, in all likelihood the only time you will ever mess with them. I can't conceive of the handles coming loose given the heavy, sturdy material and stitching. Attractive and at first glance, looks like a suitcase, a big one. Like any non-ridged hamper, load it up on one side and it is likely to tip over. I chose to put a small self-adhesive hook on the closet wall. Three hooks for a buck at General Dollar. Problem solved. I can't get my mind around all the other uses. Toys, Christmas decorations, seasonal clothing, sports gear and you get the picture. I've already cut my Christ gift list in half. I have found what I’ve been searching for! Sounds silly, but I’ve been looking for a solid laundry hamper for awhile. I don’t like the hard plastic ones because I need one hand free going down stairs to avoid falling. I love the idea of the pop up hampers, but inevitably within a month the wires would pop out somewhere. I’m short, so I half drag half carry my laundry, so it gets a beating. This laundry bag/hamper is just what I’ve been wanting. It stands up fine (even empty), it has solid durable handles, and it even just looks nice. So far a month in and it’s all still solid and comfortable to carry (love the padded handles). My only reason for knocking off 1 star is because with the back lining, it can be hard to see in the bag to make sure I’ve emptied it. ... show more

I love these style laundry bags compared to traditional plastic rectangle baskets. They are easier to carry with one hand and easy to get through doorways. I had mesh style bags in the past that held up ok but was flimsy. The fabric in this bag is heavy duty and durable. The handles are comfortable making it easy to carry. For the past twenty years, I've been carrying a large plastic hamper down two flights of stairs. It was cumbersome and slow, because I pack my hamper without about four loads of laundry, making it quite heavy. When my plastic hamper finally broke, I shopped around for a replacement, and stumbled upon this product and others like it. I'd never considered a soft hamper before, so I imagined what it might be like carrying several loads of laundry to the basement with one hand. The temptation won over, so I bought this Haundry product based on it's capacity and reviews. WHY DIDN'T I BUY ONE 20 YEARS AGO? It makes getting up and down the stairs so much easier! In an instant, I realized that heavy, rigid hampers and stairs just do not go together. With this soft hamper, I can carry four loads down the stairs at about the same speed I normally walk without a hamper. Capacity-wise, I was worried that this hamper might not hold as much as my old rigid one, but it does... and more. There's just one design flaw that the designer overlooked which is going to cost them one star. Each of the four plastic support sticks that keep the hamper upright are supposedly held in place by a Velcro flap. But the flap idea doesn't work, because the stick simply pops out of either side of it, rending the whole support system kind of useless. They should redesign it so that both ends of the sticks are held into the sleeve with stitching, and access to the sleeve is moved further down where the user can open a Velcro flap, slide each half of the stick in (one up, one down), connect the two halves, and close the flap. ... show more
