Use it for workouts mostly but its nice having the extra cushion beyond a normal mat for my old man joints and bones. Also a great size for a single person. Plenty of room to move around on it without running off the edge. Had it for about 6 months and it is still in good condition. Possibly a little easier to scrape up while working out or whatnot but thats the tradeoff with the extra cushion imo. Great mat. Would buy again if i ever need a replacement. ... show more

This thing is absolutely phenomenal. The moment I unboxed it, it rolled out perfectly, I immediately loved the thickness, versus the softness. I was actually afraid that it would be too soft like a lot of yoga mats, but it’s not it’s quite firm, but it’s not hard or uncomfortable. It feels amazing! This is the mat of my dreams, I have been wanting for 25 years, and it just occurred to me. Hey, I bet there’s something on Amazon that would suffice. I am so glad I got it for myself for my birthday. I’m 45, and I really needed something to help me get in better shape, and this is really a nice mat. My feet and heels clean to it perfectly. I just feel like I can do anything on it! My child had an entire section for his playtime as you can see in the picture above, and I still had plenty of stretching space! This is a dream, and I’m so happy. It’s a little bit thicker than regular yoga mats because it won’t puncture as well as the mats will do. I put a toy crate on it for 20 minutes and I didn’t see any markings from it. I feel there would have been markings if I left it for a couple of hours, But it seems like They would fade by the texture and quality. I don’t feel like testing it, but I just think it’s absolutely phenomenal. GET IT!!! ... show more

Excellent exercise mat. About twice as wide as a standard yoga mat and much thicker. Definitely easier on the body for movements/exercises when kneeling. The additional width gives you room for side-to-side movements without ending up on a hard floor. Has held up well for Mark Lauren routines, when I can't exercise outside. Gave it four stars due to the initial smell/off-gassing. Left it on the covered porch for a few days, before I felt the smell was reasonable enough to bring it inside. It hides perfectly under our couch, folded in half, length-wise. This makes for quick and easy access with no raised/rolled ends. ... show more

I've been trying to do Zumba on a tile floor, and it's really been hurting my knees and feet -- so I began the search for something to help. I had already tried another exercise mat that comes in squares and is linked together. Unfortunately, it was too hard on my feet. I had another mat, but it was too soft. I bought this mat hoping that the reviews were correct, and it would work for the zumba. The seller was kind enough to send a note stating what to do when I received the mat. It was rolled up and enclosed in plastic, plus came in a shipping box. Nicely done! I did need to put books on it to flatten it out, but after a day or so, it stayed flat. I never noticed much of a smell - just faint - and it disappeared within a day. I use it in my office - so the mat is a perfect size, and easy to move back into the corner area when I am not using. It doesn't slide on the floor (love that) and it isn't 'slick' but my feet can easily do the zumba moves side to side without sticking or having issues as on carpet. It is firm, but still has some 'give' so my feet are cushioned. Love it! ... show more
