This is such a wonderful hat press set. This was my first foray into this craft and may I say they made it easy. I used it to make a few hats however I also used it on my tennis shoes that start with a C and have a star on them lol. I was able to use this to customize the area that wraps around in front of the heel of my tennis shoes and I just love it. I used an old silicone mat and cut the perfect size to fit in my shoe, under the area I pressed. I layered 3 pieces of silicone and used the glove to hold them in the shoe as I pressed my design. It worked so well I’m thinking about getting a piece of galvanized metal to bend in the shape of the inside of my shoes. I’ll then wrap it in the silicone layers eliminating the need for the glove. NOTE : The base takes about seven minutes to assemble. I placed mine on top of a silicone heat resistant mat to protect my craft table. This is a small portable heat press from SYPEVIN that is made specifically for hats. It is like many small heat presses, but the heat plate is curved and fits well over the crown of hats and baseball caps. It has 3 different heat settings that you cycle through by pressing the power button. The unit will beep when it reaches your desired heat setting. You get an insulating base for resting the heat press on while in use. You also get a heat press base the is curved to fit inside the cap and a support stand. It will automatically shut-off after 10 minutes if not used. I marked this product down a star for 2 reasons. First, no instructions are included for putting together the support stand. Most people can figure it out, but just a small diagram or instructions would be nice. Second, the insulating base is vented on the bottom and made of heavy plastic. My other insulating bases are all made of thick rubber/silicon. My craft table has a Formica top and I worry about the heat coming through the vents and damaging my craft table. I need to remember to place this unit on a heat proof mat when I use it. Other than those 2 issues I think this is a great little unit for applying HTV to hats. I have done some hats with just my small heat press – the results have been bad to okay. This works much better and is very easy to use. I am new to this type of crafting so I don't have anything to compare this heatpress to, but I love it. It comes with everything you need and is easy to use. Even this beginner was able to figure it out easily. Definitely recommend!

This hat heat press will be a handy tool for me. Assembly and use instructions are included and clear. All parts are well machined and fit the way they should. DH found it easier to use his ratchet to assemble the base, and that only took about 5 minutes or so. The base needs to stand up in order to provide a pressing surface for the hat. I set this up on my ironing board, and it was mostly stable - wider "feet" front to back would improve stability. Once plugged in, a 3 second push on the power button turns it on, then subsequent 3 second pushes will achieve one of three temperature goals. The heat resistant glove is a bonus. The whole unit is small enough to store easily and large enough to cover the front of ball caps. This heat press opens up new avenues of decorating hats for my small business. ... show more

This is a nice little setup for heat-pressing hats. It has the perfect curvature for pressing the front face or the bill of hats, and feels very solid (doesn't feel cheap). There are 3 heat settings to choose from, which are indicated by the color of light shown after pressing the power button. It gets hot enough to sublimate with, which is nice since not all heat presses can actually sublimate ink into objects and are only meant for vinyl or patches. It’s very easy to use. It’s easy to put together once you figure out how to put it together, the instructions are horrible in that aspect but once you put the stand together once it’s easy to disassemble and put it back together. It would’ve been nice if they had better instructions so you can initially put it together easily without being frustrated as I was. It has three temperature settings Green, Blue and a Red and each one has a different set temperature. I use it on the highest which is the red. The book says it’s 374°F on the high temperature, 284 on the green which is the lowest and then the in-between temperature is 320. It’s pretty easy to use especially when you need to do something quickly. It comes with a travel bag, not the best but it’s nice for on the go DIY caps. It plugs into your standard two prong plug. This is not for mass production or large amounts of hats. This is good for your one off or good to have if you need to make a couple of extra caps on the go. This is perfect for that. I have something similar for t shirts so this wasn't a new concept to me. I used it on a few blank hats I had and it did a great job with a nice clean transfer. I'm going to try a pair of shoes next as someone else mentioned and am confident it will do a good job. Just be careful cause it does get hot on the business end (as it's supposed to). ... show more
