Description

In the Don’t Break the Ice game, players need to help Phillip the Penguin chop some ice blocks so he can make a new igloo. Brrrrr, that water’s cold, even for him! This game for preschoolers and kids ages 3 and up is filled with suspense as players take turns tapping out the blocks of ice. But watch out! If a player breaks the ice and Phillip falls through, they’re out! Reset the blocks to start a new round with the remaining players. The last player left who hasn’t made Phillip fall through the ice is the winner. The media could not be loaded. Man, what a little piece of nostalgia! I got this for my daughter’s birthday after seeing it suggested on Amazon. I forgot this game even existed then. I wasn’t sure if my 3 year old would understand the conceit but I wasn’t sure surprised to find out she does! (Although it’s still enjoyable to sometimes set it up and just smash it back down!) it goes together easily (the last row is hard for her to do on her own tho) and is fun to play! Phillip the penguin can be moved around depending on where you put his block of ice and that can change the difficulty. I find us reaching for this game quite often. ... show more

The quality is decent, but the box is small and it's frustrating to out away and set up every time. Good for kids in a house but less good in a classroom, as it's a little loud. It is fun, but if any of the pieces go missing it's an issue bc it won't stand up properly.

My kids and I have enjoyed this game so much. I knew my youngest would love it cause she's mentioned it during our family game nights. We never owned it. So I surprised her with it. We have played countless times already and it's still just as fun. Even my teenager plays and has fun.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Looked fun and I wanted to try it! My husband and I have no kids and I wanted something I could destroy time and time again! Sometimes I set it up just to whack them all out by myself! Love this game!
