Replaced a stuck open thermostat in a 2013 Chevy Sonic LT 1.8L. Cleared codes P0598 and P0599. Notes: took off the coolant reservoir (10mm socket) for easier work area. Might need a 10mm Torx socket if it's OEM. Mine was already aftermarket and was just a regular 10mm. Lost about a quart of coolant which was caught in a drain pan. Overall not a lot of coolant lost if you are careful with the coolant reservoir as well. Make sure not to overtighten the bolts! Specs were easiely found by web search. YouTube also helped me with a few examples. 30-45 minutes if you know about cars a bit. Don't be intimidated it's an easy fix. ... show more

It looks like the housing was not put together properly. Part of it was not welded on correctly and as a result it doesn't open and close. Unfortunately I was not able to try and install it until after the return window closed so I guess I'm put of luck on a refund from them and will have to get another one from somewhere else. ... show more
