Wow! what a difference having this has made. We used to have a manual lift and putting it on and off the car as needed was a really hard tasks. Now that we have upgraded to an electric lift, the ability to swing it away to open the hatchback is quick and easy. Installation was very easy, and the wiring allows for the license plate to be mounted with a light for easy visibility. Great product, fast delivery, and quick installation. ... show more

    • It's great if you don't use it
We needed an outside lift so that we could transport my Quantum power wheelchair with our Toyota Highlander. The Swing Away bracket appeared to be a lifesaver as only with something like this could we continue to use the rear door of the Highlander. We had both the lift and the Swing Away installed last November by a local, reputable dealer. Everything worked great for about 2 months. Then the rattles started. It was easy to see where metal was tapping against metal and a few small patches of duct tape wiped out the rattles. Then after another two months, the two arms of the SwingAway began to come closer together and rub together like a pair of scissors. It's normal says my dealer. He swiped a little grease on the offending parts which helped for approximately 15 minutes. It has continued to get worse so that it takes a real effort to open or close. I just hope Harmar gets their act together before some customer gets hurt trying to manipulate it. ... show more

I never opened the box so I can’t say if the product was amazing or not. I didn’t realize until after placing the order that the it would not work for a wheelchair carrier of a different brand. Thankfully I watched an installation tutorial before I open the box. Once I realized, I immediately started processing the return. I was worried that I would be charged a restocking fee of 20% which would’ve been around $100 plus shipping. It appears that I’ve been refunded the full amount including shipping and do not have to pay a restocking fee. Thanks! ... show more

    • Ridiculous!!
I paid $470.00 and The package arrived damaged and exposing the item. Once I pull it out of the box and attach it to the hitch I couldn't get it to open up. I returned it and asked for a refund and only got back $376.00 !!
