This kit makes a great first impression. It’s loaded up but takes up very little room in the shop. It comes in a very sturdy case with a recessed plastic handle which is awesome. There are more bits than I have projects for. They fit perfectly in my off brand rotary tool. The bits felt sharp and solid enough that they should last a while with moderate use. Time will tell. The abrasives also held up well to some mild use. I didn’t have enough projects to test each of them for their unique functions but a sampling of the kit gave me the impression they are well-made and will hold up for the hobbyist or low production commercial user. If you are using these intensely for a business, you may want to upgrade to something more hardcore. For my purposes, with soft woods and plastics, these were fine. I loved that the kit included a little chart that shows what kinds of materials each bit was best suited for. That was really helpful. It is a two-tier case. Lift up the bottom compartment to uncover a treasure chest of disc and cutoff wheels. It took me a while to realize that the top and bottom cases separate by sliding them apart. I opened it with the top box connected and dumped out all my bits. Fail. They do indeed disconnect and then when you are done you slide and lock them back together and they take up very little room wherever you store them. So, after having used an assortment of dremel tools in the past, this one I can say is alright for the price. It comes with a handful of bits, but I wouldn't say that you'd want to use them for very long. They aren't bad, but they're definitely part of the "get what you pay for" aspect of this. Ergonomically speaking, this dremel/rotary tool isn't bad, but it's not a huge issue. Speed control on it is pretty good as well. I'd suggest this more for small build or modeling type projects and nothing major. ... show more

I like the ease of using this tool. I didn't like the attachment quality as much but the tool itself did a great job. It stood the test of crafting with my niece without any problems but I thought the saw blade was very thin and I almost thought it would break or bend (it never did but we were very cautious). This tool is decent for what it is. It's not very powerful but I didn't expect much for its size. The tool is pretty small but has enough power for my use, which is mostly to do detail carving and sanding on wood. The included bits works fine but there aren't much in there so most likely I would've had to buy more bits if I didn't have them already. Overall, it's a good tool. But if you're ok with a bit larger form factor and a flex shaft, there are other products that offer more power with a lot more bits and accessories (including the flex shaft) that may work better for about the same price as this unit. ... show more

I own a Dremel and two Ryobi Rotary Tools and am always looking for the bits and devices that I do not already have. Anytime that I come across packages like this that are reasonably offered, I generally purchase them. I have several thousand bots, most of which are simply duplicates. This kit has a good selection of varied bits, sanding drums and polishing wheels. Everything looks as if it will hold up. With these type accessories, it is difficult to adjudicate quality without rigorous use. Some bits hold up and some snap off like a toothpick on first use. I have not had the opportunity to put these to rigorous use yet, but I have a project that I am going to start this weekend and really put them to the test. I will be working with Black Walnut. That should give them a run for their money. If I see issues, I will definitely update this review. The only negative so far is the case that they come in. It is obvious that they chose from the "less expensive" route to go for the case. The one that I received was already broken, as you can see in picture #5. The overall feel of the case is that it is flimsy and will not hold up for any extended period. If it is dropped or falls off of a counter/table, it will definitely shatter into many pieces. This is a 3+ Star Review, so I rounded up to 4 Stars. Not a bad value, but there are many others out there that are a better value than these. ... show more
