The fabric is soft, breathable, and holds up well after multiple washes—no fading or shrinkage so far. Size large in any t-shirt is usually comfortably loose for me. These black Hanes v-necks for women (L) are quite snug (and too short for even 5' 5" me), even before washing. I like that the cotton is a bit lighter weight for summer and the v-neck not as close around the neck as Amazon's brand (men's version in L), so I may try out XL for women in Hanes. Hopefully they won't end up too large, like the men's shirts I also bought. I find the sizing of cotton t-shirts depends very much on where the product is made--and these were made in Honduras. I'm betting the next size up will probably come from somewhere else, so good luck to me. The scratchy tags (2 together!) are definitely not tear-away, so get out your scissors. ... show more
