There are nice figures, for boys and girls. The complexity level changes which is good. Sometimes the guide is not that clear. The 5 year old was unable to prepare only from looking at the guide. The 7 year old did better, but instructions lacked details sometimes. We helped and at the end we managed. The paper is colorful. The paper was resistant to a few wrong foldings. It didn’t arrived sorted by ascending order so it took us time to re-arrange. ... show more

I purchased this for my boys as we had a long drive for vacation. This kept them company for hours! My boys are 8 and 10, and we’re both able to complete these independently. paper is not the best quality and the instructions on some of them are horrible and miss steps completely. But they have video tutorials for all of them on YouTube. I'm an adult with a bit experience in origami from when i was a kid & got this as a wind-down activity for the end of the day. The written instructions were really frustrating me so i switched to the videos and it's calming now. ... show more

This is a nice little beginner kit. My 9 year old granddaughter absolutely loved it. It teaches the basic folds. The included Origami papers are preprinted with colorful details of each piece. She was able to work through most of the book with just a little help now and then. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this gift. It's a pretty package, neatly packed and everything fits right back into the box for storage. Perfect gift for a child that enjoys artsy stuff. I would give this 10 stars if I could!
