  • PRO TIP
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StandardGrip
I see that a lot of people had a hard time using this product, but it is very easy! I will leave some helpful tips down below. This works for all textures, mattes, shiny, and glitter! When trying to pick up the vinyl onto the transfer tape... 1. Place transfer tape on vinyl and use a scraping tool or a credit card to adhere both together. 2. Flip the whole thing over and peel the backing on the vinyl off. TIP: pull the backing almost 180 degrees opposite of how it was laying. While you’re peeling the backing off, lightly press down and pull. If you notice the vinyl is not releasing from the backing, then press down tighter on the backing (without folding it/making a crease) and pull. Keep doing this method until you have successfully transferred the vinyl onto the tape. When placing the vinyl down onto crafting surface... 1. Place transfer tape with product down onto a clean and smooth surface. 2. Use scraping tool or credit card to adhere vinyl to the surface. 3. Pull the transfer tape back 180 degrees, using the same method above especially if you have a hard time releasing the vinyl. If it won’t stick, go back to step 2. Hope this was helpful for you all. I will try to add a video when I have some free time. Let me know if this was helpful to you! HAPPY CRAFTING! ... show more

  • Non-Transfer Tape!
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StandardGrip
Purchased 2 rolls and cut out some ¾ inch vinyl letters and applied the transfer tape and it is very easy to align since it is clear. Unfortunately it would not release the cut out letters when applied to the surface because it is extremely sticky. Tried the other roll and it is the same, extremely sticky. This product should be called Non-Transfer Tape. ... show more

  • It DOES work!’
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StandardGrip
I was very nervous about ordering this because of all the bad reviews about it sticking too much or it leaving residue on the vinyl. Being a first timer using a cricut and choosing vinyl as my first project, I ordered this after transfering the vinyl by hand. Very tedious and time consuming. I have 60 wine glasses I am customizing and this transfer tape saved my life. One piece goes a long long way. I discovered that the more you reuse the same piece, the better it works for transferring. I will definitely use this for all future vinyl projects. ... show more

  • Definitely STRONG Grip!
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StrongGrip
Warning! Do not use with regular vinyl... it will never come off!!! This stuff is awesome!!! Works amazing for glitter vinyl, but definitely don’t use it with regular vinyl, as it’ll NEVER come off the tape.

  • Works great for my crafting needs.
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StandardGrip
For all those looking for a decent transfer tape, I have have really good luck with this. I bought a second roll after my initial purchase because I really like it. I have tried multiple brands and I really like one as it’s not super sticky, I can easy peak up what I transferring and apply it to my surface, and it comes off without any issues. I don’t like the type of tape that when you try to remove it, it sticks to the surface and destroys your project. I would say this is more of a lighter to mid adhesive transfer tape. I work with vinyl, but mostly lettering for cups and easy projects so it suits my needs. Like I said, it meets my needs for my easy transfer projects I recommend it. I have used it to apply labels to glass spray bottles, aluminum spray bottles, water bottles without problems. When I send a customer a label, I always apply the transfer tape before mailing out and my customers have been satisfied with the results. If anything changes, I will update the review. ... show more

  • Too Sticky
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StandardGrip
I would rather hand-place every letter of a vinyl cutout of the entire Webster's dictionary on the ceiling of Grand Central Station than use this transfer tape. I have tried using it time and time again and it simply is too sticky and won't release the vinyl. I've tried it on multiple surfaces. I've tried it on a variety of vinyls (glitter, etc) I've tried using a microfiber cloth to take some of the sticky off. I've tried pulling slowly, pulling at an angle, using the hook, using the brayer, squirting it with alcohol, freezing it, thawing it, talking nicely to it, cursing it. None of it matters. I either end up wrecking my design or hand peeling it off of the tape and hand placing it anyway. I give up. You win, Cricut Transfer Tape. You're the worst. ... show more

  • Now that I have some experience
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StrongGrip
Eh, it's ok. The problem with this tape is that it holds onto the vinyl a little too well, and sometimes the vinyl will not release to the surface of my project no matter how hard or long I burnish it. Now that I've had the opportunity to try other brands, I find this tape to be too tedious to use.

  • Stickier than my PERMANENT OUTDOOR Oracal 651 Vinyl...
Size: 1FTx4FT Style: StandardGrip
This stuff was FAR too sticky to work for my project. Maybe if you were placing the vinyl on something super smooth like stainless steel or glass, it would work, but I needed to place it on painted wooden signs. The surface was completely clean and quite smooth, but the variation in the wood grain seemed enough to ensure that the vinyl would instead stick to the transfer tape. I tried everything... even started peeling the vinyl off the tape so that maybe it would keep coming away and stick to the surface instead, but it was worthless. The "transfer tape" felt stickier than my permanent outdoor vinyl, so I not only wasted money on this stuff but also on vinyl that I had to trash and re-cut because I coulnd't get it to come off of the tape. It seems lots of folks in these reviews use contact paper instead, which would be a lot less sticky. It doesn't have to be super sticky... just enough to pull the vinyl off the paper backing. I'll be trying that next time. Until then, this junk will sit unused in a box. ... show more
