My wife and I are no strangers to the Ebike world. About 1.5 years ago we were able to scoop up a pair of the swagatron ebikes on sale. They had the fat tire we were looking for at a price point that was extremely affordable but they were marketed for kids. Regardless they suited us very well and still do. I am 6ft and my wife is 5'7". We agreed that we wanted to dig further into this new hobby of ours and scanned amazon for options. What drew me to this one was not only the price point which compared is actually very good for what you get, but the features really caught my eye. What was lacking in the swagatrons were the shocks. What a game changer. No more feeling the bumps of the street!!! This is my number one love so far. The shocks are amazing for my 185lb body! Ive taken this on city streets as well as the back streets and so far it has held up amazingly. Assembly was super easy. I did have a minor mishap where the gear button box was damaged upon arrival but customer service took care of that really quickly with a shipped replacement and instructions. It was a quick exchange and I was on the road testing this out in no time. The large screen was something I hadn't seen in other models which caught my eye. Another amazing feature is that you can attach a usb phone charger directly to the battery to keep you going for the entire ride. I got a lot of looks from my neighbors.. They thought I had bought a dirt bike but were wowed when I told them it was an ebike. It definitely has a presence.. Sturdy, smooth ride is what you should expected.. As for the batter life I don't know yet so I will update it. Speed wise so far I've gotten up to 28 miles. My wife who is lighter than me is going to try it out and see how fast she can go but this thing has some amazing zip.. I haven't tried it downhill so I am sure this thing will fly. I did purchase a phone holder - the velcro type to keep my phone safe. If you are thinking of attacking a rack you can possibly get the ones that attached to the tire gear. This bike does not have a seat stem so you will need to find something that can work..Amazon is the place to search for that. All in all I feel very satisfied with this purchase and see lots of fun riding ahead for my family. 5 stars so far!!! I will update this review once I get a feel for the battery life. I recently purchased the Happyrun G50 e-bike and have had it over a month now. This is the first time I spent over a thousand bucks on a bike. I must say, the bike and the customer service have exceeded all my expectations! Here are some pros and cons of the bike: Pros: Powerful Motor: The Happyrun G50 boasts a high-performance electric motor that offers excellent acceleration and smooth power delivery. I weigh almost 150 lbs. and it effortlessly tackles steep hills when I ride with pedal assist 3. The performance might vary depending on the rider’s weight. Battery Life: The bike is equipped with a long-lasting battery, the G50 offers impressive range, allowing for extended rides without worrying about running out of power. The longest ride I had was about 25 miles and I used the combination of pedal assist 2 and 3, and I still had two bars of charge left on the display/3 dots on the battery. Not sure if it would hit the 68 miles range as it advertised but I am more than happy with the range that I am getting. Sturdy Build Quality: The e-bike's solid construction and sturdy frame inspire confidence in its durability. It can withstand the rigors of daily commuting and handle rough terrain with ease. Comfortable Ride: With an adjustable saddle and ergonomic handlebars, the G50 ensures a comfortable riding position. The suspension fork absorbs bumps and shocks, delivering a smooth and enjoyable ride even on uneven surfaces. The seat is bigger and feels comfortable while riding. Stylish Design and big display: The G50's sleek and modern design is eye-catching and stylish. Its attention to detail and overall aesthetics makes it a head-turner wherever you go. Useful Features including display: The e-bike comes with practical features such as a bright LED headlight and taillight for enhanced visibility during nighttime rides. The LCD display provides essential information like speed, distance, and battery level. Responsive Customer Service: The customer service representatives are very responsive and helpful in case you have any issues with the bike. They try their best to help fix any issues with the bike to ensure a smoother riding experience. Cons: Price: The Happyrun G50 may be on the higher end of the price spectrum compared to some other e-bike models. However, its quality build and impressive features make it worth the investment. Weight and height: As with many e-bikes, the G50 can be relatively heavy due to its motor and battery. While this weight doesn't affect performance, it may require some additional effort if you need to lift or maneuver the bike frequently. If you run out of battery health and you need to ride it manually it would be a nightmare. The recommended biker's height starts from 5’5, however, to ride the bike with full comfort, I think the height should be at least 5’7. But like me, if you are used to riding a taller bike than the recommended height, you would be just fine. Limited Service for Repair: Depending on your location, you might not be able to take your bike to the store to have it repaired if something goes wrong. I had a squeaking sound coming from my rear brake and three stores refused to fix it because of liability issues. Complex Assembly Process: Some users may find the assembly process of the Happyrun G50 e-bike to be complex and time-consuming. The bike may arrive partially disassembled, requiring users to have a certain level of mechanical skill or seek professional assistance for proper assembly. The assembly instructions provided are unclear or poorly written. This can make the assembly process more challenging and frustrating, especially for those who are not experienced in bike assembly. Inaccurate Mileage Display: The mileage displayed on the LCD display is not always accurate. I see that mph shows 2/3 miles more than the accurate speed. The inaccurate mileage display can make it challenging for riders to track their progress and set goals based on distance covered.     • BEWARE! No Warranty Support. No service of any kind!
We ordered online because we needed it delivered. The bike had decent reviews but here are facts we didn’t know and you SHOULD NOT BUY FROM THIS BRAND: 1. It is very difficult to get a bike shop to work on an “off brand”. This is an off brand. So, I cannot find a bike shop that will work on it, especially related to the electric components. Makes it challenging since it is an electric bike… I live in San Diego which is a fair sized city. Imagine the challenges in smaller communities aren’t any better. 2. The company offers NO warranty support. It appears to be out of China (though they work hard to appear otherwise) which means they are not in the same time zone or share the same language. I have reached out 5 times over a throttle issue that arose in month 2 - brief response to effort 3, no response since. What to do if they don’t honor warranty? Who knows? 3. The website takes you nowhere. The telephone numbers lead to no one. The bike sits in the garage. Unused for months. 4. Buy at your own risk. ... show more
