Works Like Advertised. Very well Packaged, Wood Crate, 6 Nylon Straps to keep it together, Plastic Around unit to Keep residual oil contained. The big letdown is the Connectors were not Correct, Item needs more Connector Information. Also it was advertised to have two OIL Supply Hoses and it Only came with one. No way to contact the seller to see about getting the second hose sent to me. Had to purchase a different set of Hydraulic connectors for $25 to make it compatible with my Hydraulic Ram. They should CLEARLY identify which connectors are supplied. Pictures are not enough when there are too MANY types of Hydraulic Connectors available. I would rather they list the hose and connectors separate so the RIGHT one can be sent in the first Place. Adding Oil was simple, the View port made it easy not to over fill it.. The Unit is Much quieter than the 20 ton Air Over Hydraulic unit it replaced. So far the Power to Press has been More than enough. Much more than the Air Over Hydraulic unit. The one thing missing is the ability to keep the unit running and stop the Ram from moving. I have to shut it off or open the valve which makes the RAM retract all the way, Slowing down production waiting for the RAM to engage again. The Price to Value is good, it could be great with a few tweaks to the way it works and details in the description of the Connectors and By Including the 2nd oil hose as advertised.

10 ton shop press from jegs 200 bucks plus this pump for 300 caged heat plates another 300. You won’t find a better setup for that price. The look on my friends faces that spent more on those cheap prebuilt rosin press’s when they seen what I retrofitted for less was priceless. The pump was well worth the money the supplied hose didn’t work for my press so I took the pump to my local hydraulic shop and they got me exactly what I needed to use the hose that came with the press if you don’t have knowledge on hydraulic fittings I would suggest going to your local hydraulic shop before you ruin the threads on the valve block

I had trouble at first due to minimal operating instructions. Please improve those. Once I figured out how the valve worked (pic 3, lever all the way down releases pressure. It had a catch and I was overly cautious on how hard I was pulling on the lever) and how to bleed the air out of the hose without injecting hydraulic fluid under my skin (I removed the connective fitting from the CH-70, installed on the hose, turned it on and bled into a bottle) I connected it to the CH-70 I bought with it and within 30 minutes of opening the box I was a hydraulic god! Punching holes in everything I could find. Smooth, quite operation impressed me, No leaks. Works like you would expect it to. Buy one.

I wanted to use this pump for a few months before writing this review. I can honestly say this pump has met all my expectations. Sure there are always few things that can be improved upon but overall this pump has been solid. Some highlights: No leaks or seepage even after heavy multiple hour usage. Relatively quiet with no odd or unusual vibrations. In my application connected to a CP-70 punch, I have yet to have it go to full pressure. I would recommend this product and would buy again if needed. In hindsight, I wish I opted for the upgraded valve (mine is the manual valve single action). For my application, it would be handy to have a "HOLD function" where it is not applying pressure or draining back. But it is something I can add later.

Make sure when you turn the pump on for the first time depress the center fluid stop on the hydraulic hose until fluid comes out. I first thought unit wasn’t building pressure and I relized it was my mistake.
