Such a cute toy and so life like. My son insists on helping me cook this item keeps him busy for hours. I read about a zillion reviews for different pretend egg products for my sons play kitchen and this was definitely the one that offered the best product. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase. I was nervous due to some reviews saying the Velcro eggs are hard to get apart, and while they aren’t easy to open, my two year old can manage without help, so they aren’t that difficult. He loves to “crack” both types of eggs and can open them himself. He struggles a little putting the plastic pieces back together, but he’s only two and will clearly figure that out in no time. I love that it comes with two types of egg and the cardboard carton, while not overly sturdy, is cute and my son likes that it’s just like the one mama uses. The quality is great. My only complaint would be the felt eggs parts kind of stay folded after being removed from the shell, but that’s not a big deal and for the cost I think it’s a great deal. I highly recommend these eggs for a perfect addition to any play kitchen. ... show more

I bought these as a Christmas present but ended up giving them to my almost 2year old egg-obsessed toddler early because he kept snatching eggs and hiding them around the house. These eggs are a perfect weight and size...made of lovely wood. I love that you can "cook" them two ways: fried or hardboiled! The fried eggs are made of thick felt folded into an empty shell that looks cracked when you open it! Super cute and perfect for the little realist, no-nonsense toddler. The hard boiled eggs can be sliced in two and are held together with a Velcro yoke! I was worried that the egg shells would fit together too loosely when put back together, but they connect snuggly each time! The carton is realistic and adorable, but I don't expect it to last too many years as it is a thinner cardboard. All in all, they are high quality, great value and accepted by my egg loving son! No more week old cabinet eggs for me! ... show more

These are excellent quality, wooden play eggs. I looked forever to find "crackable" play eggs and these are the best I could find anywhere. I love that they come with a variety, half "hard boiled" and half "fresh". The wood seems durable, as well as the thick plastic "shell" and Velcro. The cardboard egg carton isn't the best but seems heavy duty enough to last awhile (although probably not "crush" proof). They are easy enough for a toddler to open and cut. The color is realistic. My only complaints are the "fresh" eggs that are made of thick felt don't lay flat after removing and are challenging to get back inside the shell and shut (It pops back open if not carefully placed inside). The egg carton isn't that easy to close when they are in it either, almost like it's a little too small for the size of the eggs. Other than that, my toddler loves these!! They keep her entertained for quite awhile. I'd highly recommend for any play kitchen. ... show more

My grandbabes loved these and were excited to ‘crack and cook’ their eggs. The carton is heavy duty. A little difficult to open, but I think in time it will loosen up.

Two year old loves this. Three of the eggs Velcro together. Three of the eggs separate like Easter eggs and have a felt yolk. I like that the set includes both styles of egg. The egg carton is sturdier than it looks.
