Pros: It is sturdy. Headboard and footboard look good. Price was right. Shipping via Amazon was free. Cons: Putting it together is not fun. Took me 2-1/2 hours. I thought I was pretty handy, but this bed frame told me otherwise. When you sit on one side of the bed, the mattress slides easily back a few inches off the frame. There is nothing to prevent the side-to-side movement of the mattress on the frame, which also throws off the bedding so avoid sitting on the edges of the bed if you’re not prepared to fix your bedding each time you do so. I have to come up with a way to gerryrig that to stop that side-to-side slide. My husband said to just put it up sideways against the wall. But that makes it hard to make the bed each morning :(

THIS FRAME WAS EASY TO ASSEMBLE. IF YOU CAN FOLLOW DIRECTIONS AND KNOW YOUR ALPHABET. MY ONLY ISSUE IS THAT THE COATING WAS RUBBED OFF IN A FEW SPOTS. I AM NOT RETURNING IT AS I REALLY LIKE THE LOOK OF IT AND WILL FIX IT MYSELF. HAVE YET TO SLEEP ON IT SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON THAT ASPECT.

Many of the parts are dinged and/or have dents or missing the black coating. Would’ve returned it except I had already thrown out our box springs and frame; and didn’t feel like trying to repackage it. At 53, with nearly 4 decades of fighting chronic illness my strength isn’t what it used to be, and the package feels easily more than 100 pounds (my guess).

I've owned a lot of bed frames but this is by far the worst when it comes to noise!! Even moving one inch causes the frame to squeak and make noise. Yes it's solid which is why it got 2 stars instead of 1 but I am throwing this thing in the trash as soon as possible!!!!
