Description

Get the biggest, longest waves and make your surf experience much more enjoyable with FlipSurf Wakesurf Creator. Customize the perfect wave effortlessly. This wake shaper is designed to attach to the rear starboard or port side of the boat and deflects water away from the boat opposite the surfer. This allows the surf-side wake to curl over for the perfect wake. Thoroughly clean near the rear starboard and port sides with residue-free cleaner such as 70% isopropyl alcohol. Installation should be done when boat, product and ambient temperature are above 70° F. 2. FlipSurf requires 6″ x 15.74″ of flat surface to mount. Once located, align FlipSurf so that the top edge sits 1″-2″ above or below the water line when ballasts are full. Position as far back on the boat as possible. 3. Peel off adhesive backing on mounting bracket. Firmly press mounting bracket onto boat at the location identified in Step 2. Allow the strip to sit for a minimum of 30 minutes before use or submerging in water.

    • Easy to use. Amazing customer service.
A couple of reasons for this five-star review. First, it was a struggle to keep the Delta Mission 2.0 on our boat. When on, it produced a great wake, but it was a buzz kill having it constantly slip or fall off. So frustrating! FlipSurf's magnetic-bracket system really made it easy. No slippage. No falling off. Complete confidence taking it from side-to-side with no problems at all. Second, when I purchased the FlipSurf, I was too aggressive with where I installed the brackets. I placed them too far back, which caused the wake to curl prematurely. Getting back late on a Friday night - I messaged the company via Instagram and Facebook about the issue. I needed to correct it by the following afternoon because we had a surf trip planned for my son and his friends. I was hopeful, thinking it was a long shot, that someone would respond on a weekend. Saturday morning, at 7:59 am, I received a text message. I was shocked, and it was from the company's founder. For the next few hours, he was available. He provided me with straight-forward steps to re-position the brackets, even calling me after wrapping up coaching his son's soccer game to make sure everything was okay. We got on the lake, my son's back-to-school wake surf outing with friends was preserved with a great wake, solid product that stayed on the boat, and a huge sense of relief and gratitude for FlipSurf's product and the company's leader taking such great care.     • Excellent customer support
I have a 2008F 19 Bayliner and it was difficult to figure the exact location. I called the company and we had a great talk about the location and also some suggestions so that it does not get lost. I suggest tying a floating string with a float so that in case you back up quickly it does not get lost. I lost mine the first day and did not find it. This was entirely my fault. I was given a discount to replace my wedge. It does give the boat a nice wake. It is difficult on my boat to position it better due to the design of the boat. I am going to add some fat sacks to improve the wake. This is definitely not as good as a professional boat with balast but twice as good as it was before I added it. Can’t wait to see how good it gets with a fat sack in the ski hull and the two rear corners of the boat. I am new to wake surfing so I am learning as I go along. I did not like the ones with the suction cups. Too difficult to takeoff from inside the boat. I really like this design. A suggestion to the designer. I made a sign that sticks on my dashboard to remind me that I have it on the boat so I don’t forget ... show more

    • Finally an easy to use Wake Shaper
This product is great. I finally have a simple way to switch sides when wake surfing or foiling. I now just fill all the ballast and leave it full and simply move the Flipsurf to the opposite side of the wave. I have never had it come loose and it creates a better wave then when I would ballast just one side and use my suction wave shaper that constantly would fall off. Great product!! ... show more

    • Stays in the boat and produces a great wave
I have used suction cup wake shapers on my 2003 air nautique and thought they did a good job. The problem was they slip off often requiring a lot of time to retrieve it while the surfer waits. The flipsurf not only stays securely attached but in proved the surf wake. One surfer commented that the “sweet spot” was 3’ to 5’ longer then the old suction cup model produced.     • Best bang for your buck!
Me and a buddy just bought a 30 year old ski-boat that made nothing more than a soft wake. I bought the FlipSurf based partially on reviews and partially on ease of use. This thing far surpassed my expectations. Without even using ballast bags we're able to create a super fun wave for endless rides. I've never used any of the other shapers out there, so I really can't do a comparison. That said, I find no reason for looking any further.     • Doesn't stay on the boat
This is held on by a magnet. Seemed like a good idea, but falls off when turning. After fetching out of the middle of the lake 3 times, I was over it.

    • Shapes the wake on our old inboard ski boat nicely.
We feel this product is great, easy to install, and easy to move side to side. We tried it on our old inboard ski boat with very little ballast and it helped shape the wake nicely. We just need to add more ballast to get ourselves a bigger wave. Season is over and boat is closed now. I will update on how the wave looks with a pic when spring arrives and we have more ballast installed. ... show more
