Arrived in perfect, new condition. Unwrapping the chairs from bubble wrap, cushions from plastic, and assembling with my 6yr old helping took no more than 15 minutes. Very easy assembly. The outdoor recliners are very attractive and easy to use. I read previous reviews before ordering. Thank you, all of you helped me to practically immediately learn how to recline the chairs without any problem. Do not push on the back to recline as that will not work or it will feel very hard to do. I believe if you do this, you run the risk of breaking the chairs. The key is to use your arms. The reclining motion comes from under the chair and the chair back does not cause the reclining, it follows. I pull my arms back to just about where the back cushion is and I use my arm strength to start the sliding motion forward to recline--I push and glide the seat forward with my back resting on the chair back. Once you do this, the chair follows. One of the two I purchased is slightly harder than the other and feels tighter while it lightly squeaks. I used our garage door lubricant on the bolts and continued use helps to "break in" the chair. They are quite comfortable. Cushions dry quickly after a rain. They are great relaxing, entertaining, and reading chairs. All in my family enjoy these and friends have even napped in them. An FYI if this is important to you...The shipping label notes that Walmart is the seller or distributer. Packageprincess is the Amazon seller who sold it for this purchase. Overall, would purchase these again if had the space. ... show more

I use this very nice recliner outside is comfortable and the recliner is nice for resting on a hot day. Very sturdy will be buying a cover for my loverly chair.

I ordered two of these beautiful chairs. The first thing I noticed as I unpacked them was that while the cushions appeared to be made very well, they have a very scratchy feel. Soft and comfortable is definitely lacking here. They were extremely simple to put together but one of the chairs was defective with respect to the frame. The base of the chair was welded off center and caused a metal on metal rubbing when you reclined. The last and final straw was the way the cushion back would fall forward each time you came out of a recline position. With all these negatives, I didn't feel they were worth the price. ... show more

We bought this chair for me to sit outdoors; I’m chronically ill and can’t always be active, so sitting outside in a comfortable chair is important to me. So far I’ve enjoyed it. The footrest has 3 positions: down, up for sitting, and up a bit higher for reclining. The recline position of the back isn’t very flat, but it’s enough for a quiet cat nap on the porch. In the sitting position with the footrest up, it is very comfortable. I can knit, read or just watch the birds attack the feeders. I’m rather short legged and find the seat is a bit deep for me just sitting. I haven’t yet but probably will hunt down a suitable pillow for that purpose. The pillow that came with the chair is nice but not for that. The recline mechanism is engaged by shifting your body weight, not a handle, so a very weak person might find it a bit hard to do. I’m not terribly strong and I can do it. But I can see where if my health takes a turn or if I had major surgery it might be a problem. The cushions are quality and the green is a muted neutral with a hint of olive tone. Overall very nice, but not perfect. Then again, what is? ... show more

The chair came in a very big box, definitely need to have some strength to move it or an additional person. Came in two parts, simply had to slip the back onto the brackets of the base of the chair. Very easy to build, just make sure the back is facing the right direction and push down until you hear both sides click. However, the one side of the chair appears to be bent inward and leaving a large gap on the other. Causing the screws of the reclining bracket to catch on the frame. Which limits, being able to fully recline into the last position. This seems to be a manufacturing defect or it was bent at some point, as the box arrived fine. Might be able to bend that side back to get the full function but don’t want to ruin/damage the structure of the chair and cause problems down the line. The cushions seems okay, there were many loose threads on both the back and bottom ones. I’m concerned with how well they will hold up or how long. I have a feeling I will need to do some sewing in the future. It’s nice you’re able to buy replacement ones on their website though. The color is just as pictured. If you don’t mind not going all the way back it’s a great chair. You do have to push with your arms on the armrests to lean the chair back. At 5 7 this is a great size chair, however if you’re over 6ft your legs will hang over the end and it’s an awkward position. Not sure it would hold someone over 250lbs for a long period of time. Very comfortable chair and light enough to move around on my own. ... show more
