I am disappointed in this product. The overall design is good, but the slats are extremely thin and flimsy, and the hinges are weak as well. A minor side piece had broken off during shipping, and one of the slats broke at the hinge. It's all assembled and outside, and I'm hoping it lasts through the winter. The color is a lot brighter orange an than it appears on screen, and I'll likely coat it with polyurethane to toughen up the soft wood. Overall I would say it's not worth the price. ... show more

    • Doesn’t fit the larger bins
Fits the smaller city trash bins but not the larger size (by like half an inch, the lid of the can is a tight fit because it hangs over the bin more) . Also the door slats are slanted so there’s a larger gap on one side of the door than another. Latch comes open easily and also had to move one of the side latches so that the side latch and the door latch could meet one was higher than the other so wouldn’t close. Instructions were very confusing and took much longer to build than it should have. Looks good and can at least get one of my bins in. Will have to look at other options for the other two larger bins. ... show more

First things first, I thought this was a more natural wood color - it is not, it really is an orangey/yellow type stain on it. I actually just painted ours gray. But it works really well for our trash bins. We ended up leaving the doors off the front for easy access for our garbage men. But the top is great - because it opens up for easy throwing away, but then closes to deter wildlife from opening up the tops. ... show more

Our fault we got the wrong size, but after struggling to put it together, we just left it and didn’t return it because it would be a pain to take apart. One of the little wooden holders for the flip up was broken when it came, the holes in the back for the slates didn’t line up, the only ones that did were maybe the first 2 out of 10-12 slates. It does look nice out together and really wish we could use it, but it’s just a tiny bit to small. ... show more

This is much lighter and flimsier than I would have liked for the price. You can see that some of the slats in the door are not properly attached. We will have to glue them. This is finished in a yellow stain which is not natural wood colored and is pretty unattractive.

If you are looking for a durable long lasting that fits its description. THIS ISNT IT. Made from weak boards that break easily. The screw threads can't even bite the weakness. And if that wasn't bad enough it might last a yr then fall apart from weather. Measurements are not accurate either.
