I bought this umbrella in June 2021 and have been using it pretty much spring through fall ever since. It has worked to help in the rain as well as the sun. We have mainly been using it for the sun, though it does take some adjustment—especially if you are out walking and you change directions depending on how low the sun is in the sky— you may need to adjust the position of the umbrella again to keep the sun off of you; so it’s not like set it and forget it unless the sun is high noon in the sky. Usually my husband will wear it and I will adjust it for him as we’re on our walk. It is important to use the adjustment screws on the back plate to pivot and angle it just right if the sun is not straight up in the sky. The umbrella has taken quite a beating since we live in a windy place, and one of the poles has recently broken, but it hasn’t affected the overall use of the umbrella. And it just broke probably two months ago, so up until that point it nothing was broken even though we use it in the wind all the time. So it’s still working and getting seasonal daily use even after two years. I see a lot of people on here claim it’s not durable. I’m not sure how ours has done well when theirs failed. This arrived with no instructions. My husband and I managed to put it together, but it doesn’t work. It’s also so tiny, it’s built for a child. Save your money and pass on this!

Product is solid because the umbrella stays in place. The straps can be adjusted to fit. It blocks out the sun (here in Hawaii) and allows me to do yard work without turning dark/getting sunburnt. It is also great at keeping you dry when it rains because the angle can be adjusted to accommodate the wind direction that blows the rain. ... show more

It's definitely well made, it's not going to fall apart after heavy use. It's a good size umbrella at 42". If the umbrella broke for some reason, it could be replaced with another compact one easily. What you're really buying is the backpack contraption. It doesn't come with instructions, but it needs to be assembled. The umbrella doesn't fit in it's own bag after it's been opened, but there is a bigger bag for the whole unit. Very handy... or should I say "not handy"... he he... ... show more

Such a great idea but such a careless way of going about it. The smell was horrible when we unpacked it. Had to let it sit out for more than a week, as it was a gift and did not want to give it smelling so terrible. Also, upon opening it the umbrella was already broken and opened into rain holding bowl. Plus side, the holder seems to fit any standard size umbrella. The back brace part seems sturdy but the person I gave it to hasn't used it yet due to lack of rain. ... show more
