I bought these bc i got a beach cruiser but hated having my hands at my hips when id stand up to pedal. I was not disappointed. My hands are now at shoulder height (im 5'9) with the stem almost all the way down. I have much better control over the bike and can easily stand up to get more speed. You may need a longer cable set depending. I got away with rerouting mine. Installation was easy. The hardest part was transferring my grips from the old bars, but thats the grips, not these bars. I also love all the extra room to mount stuff like a phone, a beer holder and eventually speakers. 100% would recommend. ... show more

    • I love these bars...
The media could not be loaded. I have a Simple 3 bike which has classic beach cruiser styling. Nice bike, but I've always hated cruiser-style handlebars so I always swap them out for ape hangers. At 13" high, these are the perfect height for me, an average size woman (5'7"). These bars are standard diameter so I was able to swap out the grips and brakes from the original handlebars. One thing to remember if you're replacing standard cruiser bars you'll need to replace the brake and gear cables with longer ones (rookie mistake that I made the first time.) If you're worried about these bars being too high for you, I've posted a video showing me riding with them. Once again, I'm about 5'7" and when I ride with these my arms are just about level with my shoulders which creates a very nice, upright ride unlike standard cruiser bars that pitch you forward.
