I've always wanted to have a welding machine in my small home workshop for occasional DIY projects like metal racks or repairs. After researching many options, I finally chose this NeoTamarix 110V model, mainly because it's portable and comes with rods included—super convenient. My first impression upon receiving it was that it's even more compact and lighter than I imagined, really just like a small toolbox. It’s very easy to carry around and store—perfect for moving between the garage and backyard. It’s very user-friendly for beginners! The five-level current adjustment knob is clear and straightforward. I started with the lowest setting and thin rods to practice, and it was easy to strike an arc—the arc remains pretty stable too. The 20 rods included in the package were just enough for me to practice and complete my first small project (welding a small flower stand). The cooling fan noise is acceptable, and the protection features seem reliable. I accidentally stuck a rod once during practice, and the machine automatically shut off—which gave me a scare—but it restarted without any issues. Key Advantages: Truly Portable: Works with standard 110V household outlets, lightweight, ideal for home DIY, farm use, or urgent outdoor repairs. Adequate Performance: Five current levels are sufficient for everything from thin sheet metal to slightly thicker steel (the 1/16" to 1/8" rod range is accurate). I never use a welder before but I had a couple of projects that needed one. After watching many videos I found this option and decided to give it a try. I’m just amazed how easy to use it is and it actually does the job pretty good. Easy to Carry, compact and lightweight. You can adjust the current for all kind of small work. It comes with everything you need to start welding for the first time ( mask, gloves, rods, brush) and it was super easy. I feel like a professional welder now! Can’t wait for my wife and kids to break more stuff so I can use it more. Definitely recommended for first time users.

I bought this because it was cheap, portable and I had to reattach my mailbox bracket to a metal post that was cemented into the ground 50 feet from my house. I was thoroughly impressed by easy it was to use and the job it did. I can't attest to its durability, but it certainly got the job done. My only complaint would be the screw clamp that holds the rod in place seems a little jinky but other than that it was great.

Really impressed with this little welder! The machine is super lightweight, easy to move around, and simple to set up, even for someone who’s still building their welding skills. The arc is stable, the controls are straightforward, and it has plenty of power for the home and hobby projects I’ve thrown at it so far. For the price, it’s a great value. It handles different metal thicknesses well and dialing in the settings only takes a minute or two. Perfect for DIY projects, repairs, and learning the ropes without committing to a big industrial setup.

As an amateur who needs to do some light projects around the house from time to time, I'm beginning to appreciate the inventions coming out that empower DIYers be able to tackle whatever it is they are doing. Saw this being offered on Amazon and it was inexpensive enough to give it a try. What looks more like an overgrown impact drill is actually a portable stick-welder and it was fun to learn to use. It came with everything right out of the bat that you might need to start welding on your own. I made sure to practice a few times on a spare iron slab. Once I had enough confidence I started on some joints to make a frame for a chicken coop i had been planning on building. It was intimidating at first but this is incredibly easy. Granted, I'm no pro but it will work for the projects I intend to use it for. It's a very useful tool to have around if you are a DIYer of any kind.
